where do u get this herbel stuff from ive never heard of it it wld do me good i only drink 1 nigt aweek ive had a major blow last week weds thurs 2 glasses wine fri then sat n sunday no good 4 me at all i tend 2 drink water the day after but im unsre it even works x

I dont drink every day, I drink because it just takes away the pain of stress and depression. How can I sort this out

Milk thistle seed is one of the best liver tonics on the planet. You can buy the bottled stuff with a dropper, but I would recommend buying the seeds and grinding them yourself…failing that buy the powdered milk thistle seed. A fat has to be present in order to get the silymarin from the seeds, but the seeds themselves contain a fat! You can mix it with coconut (great for the kidneys and an antiviral) and just add hot water and allow it to infuse for a couple of hours. You will also benefit from consuming the ground seeds, easier said I know, but if you put a spoonful in your mouth and take a drink of water to wash it down it is no worse than swallowing a pill. It takes a bit of getting used to… Some herbalists believe that you can only extract the silymarin with alcohol (tinctures), but nature provides this medicine for us and she never intended us to drink alcohol. Just stumbled on this site, interesting to read people being so open about their drink problems. I feel ashamed of myself for letting my drinking become a daily routine. It started as a way to relieve stress from work, now it’s not that anymore it’s a must even through I don’t want to. Finding the will power to not drink is getting harder each day.

Which medical study are you referring to specifically Andrew? – if you make a statement like that you really need to back it up with a link to the web-page concerned, otherwise it’s just an unsubstantiated opinion from a random commenter.

THIS ARTICLE IS MISLEADING

A medical study in 2010 showed Liv52 had NO affect whatsoever when it comes to treating alcohol related liver function.

Dear sir .

please let me know my SGPT is 61.9 & SGOT is 44.8.98 and my doctor adviced me to take liv52 regularly. if yes please suggest when to take liv52 before OR after drinking Daily. Al so I am take Lipostat 20mg and Lipanthyl 300 mg daily for Cholesterol . Pl. advice.

You can take it at any time, but of course you know already that the more important decision is to cut down, or just have an occasional sober day.
