Re: Detoxing Safely (Tapering Off)

Hi Ready: I noticed you took valerian root and L Glutamine to help. You are on the right path. There are other supplements that can help for sleep and anxiety. A lot of people who drink are trying to ease anxiety and insomnia. As long as you are not taking prescription medications there are other su...

Winker: I couldn't ignore this post. Really. Alcohol is pure sugar. PMS and other hormonal issues make certain people crave sugar. You say you work as a medical professonial. You know this. That doesn't mean that sugar cravings aren't hard to deal with. Posting on here drunk isn't something to be ta...

Free Flow: You know me. I think I am at the point where I want to do this on my own. But then I read all the posts. And realize that I am invested in the well being of you all. You know who you are. Maybe I need to not be so rash. I think I need to read all your words. Maybe it helps me on my journe...

Sqibby: I am going off of here to get on with my life. Your post has hastened my leaving. If I had posted what you did I would have members jumping all over me. With good reason. When I have had a problem with a member I have always addressed them directly. I have always stayed clear of your posts. ...

I never thought I could do it. But what clicked for me was getting through some very trying times wit...

Andy: Back at you my friend.

I don't want to go back.

I am going to bed soon.

Congragulations on your sobriety.

I am one year sober just before Christmas.

My second year sober minus 3 days.

I am rightly proud of myself.

Andy: I live in Canada.

No bikini my friend.

I would be freezing body parts I don't usually show.

It is cold and dark here.

I hope you are doing well.

Are you up because you can't sleep?

It is almost 9:30 PM here.

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Sun: I know what you mean about escapism. But that would only give me a few hours escape and then I was feeling ill and addicted. There are other ways. I don't know what meds you are on but mine were not helping me. I feel better off all prescription meds and alcohol. I am not telling you to do that...
