Re: What Has Made You Happy/Angry/Sad/Proud/Grateful Today?

Thank you Rachel, Rose, Spats, TC about my little cat. My heart goes out to everyone else who has had to have their beloved pets put to sleep this winter. Its the first time i have had to make that horrid decision, but all our pets are getting older so it won't be the last. Spats did you get your ne...

Re: Cravings

Thanks Pickles <:)> Maybe those things you planned ,the clothes shopping, museum, art gallery, to stretch them out a bit and not do things in one go ,or you feel even more exhausted. And then there is also the bus ride ,planning the day out . Maybe museum next week, or something like that . You know ...

Re: Cravings

Good morning TC, Martha and Ruby, thanks for reading and your kind responses. Martha thank you, you are so right that drinking just creates another problem, it never solves the original problem. I'm thinking this brain rewiring thing really does work with time because i was able to sit through a str...

Re: Cravings

This is very hard to admit but after 7 years of sobriety i seriously toyed with the decision to drink today. I nearly had a f**k it moment, a few times today, whilst out alone in a town 40 miles from home. I feel generally overwhelmed with life... with people. All wanting something from me, in one w...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

I wish i could keep up with a journal but forget to do it daily. I find it really helpful to write and reflect/forward plan and really don't do it enough. Thanks for the reminder guys ! The drawing sounds very creative and colourful Deanna. Again i haven't done any colouring for ages, another ground...

Re: Just want to share.

Ah Ruby <:)> great advice from all above. It can be a bit of a rollercoaster can internet dating. I know someone who has become addicted to it but if it is approached with a level head then it can be fun too. You may have to sift through a lot of people before you click with someone but that is pret...

Re: The 2020 Challenge

# 50 :) Happy New Year too all <:)> Great to be sober stepping into 2020. Not sure i will go out New Years Eve again though (first time in years), i actually felt tense and crowded all night long and had that old feeling of 'missing out' on having a drink to relax and let my hair down :? Unhealthy a...
