Re: When loved ones drink and you don't

I feel familiar with all that is being said here but with the added guilt that I want to leave my husband due to his drinking. I think I have maybe lost respect for him, but sit here saying that as a drinker constantly battling trying to stop myself. I notice in the posts below separating doesn't se...

Another the same age as ...

Re: Personal Goals

Hi everyone, did a 4/3 last week, last night had too much and mixed the drinks. Before that would have meant back to daily drinks but am focusing on the positive (4AF days) rather than the negative. Re: When loved ones drink and you don't

Hello Serend, Just to second Shadowlad’s always helpful counsel. It is hard when our relationships are difficult, giving us added motivation to drink. Disengaging mentally from this tension helped me a lot. I cannot control the OH’s drinking, only my own. Since I have stopped, I notice there is a d...

Re: The First 7 Days

Thanks, BizzyBee, Yup, I had another early night and got over 5 hours sleep before I woke in the early hours. I also think I dreamt but I can't remember the details. I'm not as tired, my head aches less and I had an appetite for my breakfast, possibly as I ate so little yesterday. Day 5 will be lik...

Re: The First 7 Days

Cliffe, I feel for you, and by day 5 or 6 this will pass. Essay sorry to hear. We need to get in sync...I think I need someone to be accountable to!
