Re: Sober April

Yes I’m with you all on sober April, but actually doing sober spring. I know the date when spring ends but it’s not set in my mind as the end of April would be, and there is an end date but not as rigid as the end of a month. Joined a self help group on zoom as I was struggling with the constant loc...

Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

Finally got over the first two weeks, now on day 16 (::) So I’ll just keep plodding on. My little reminders dotted around the place are a great help to keep me on track. Keep going folks, give up the booze this bank holiday - eat chocolate instead

Re: KEEPING IN TOUCH ON THE FORUM

So I’ve not been around for a while, as with many people these constant lockdowns have gotten me down. Went onto some zoom meetings to get me through it and agreed to set myself challenge to do sober spring ()o And I’ve stuck to it so far. 15 days and no problems. Started on 20 March and due to end ...

Re: Personal Goals

The best thing I did was to write those notes. Wherever I turn there’s a note telling me. It to drink and why. Got through week 2 and the temptation to eat sugary things isn’t quite so bad. On to week three. I’m finding that I’m able to concentrate more on what I need to do and working through the l...

Will stay strong with not drinking plan, 7 days is the first clear week for a long time. Will work on not smoking - can taste cigarettes now (not smoked since Saturday though) and the taste is vile

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Been too cold and wet to walk this last week. Did do a half hour walk round town during my lunch break one day. Weather is improving so hope to get back out for some walking ;)?

Re: Personal Goals

Got through my first week AF! First time for months. I’m not going to think ok I’ve got through week one, onto week 2 because all too often I didn’t get through the next week. Instead I’ll look at it as the start of a lifestyle and mindset change and work through it that way. I still have my notes d...

Re: The Road to Abstinence.

Here’s to you Action (::) (::) you’ve come a long way since I was last here. You’ve given me more motivation to keep going. I’ve just completed my first week sober, it’s been a long time but so worth that feeling of achievement. I slept soundly for 11 hours last night and have decided to have a lazy...

Truestate, Kath old friends :\: :\: good to see you again. Like you I was ok with first lockdown. Second lockdown wasn’t too bad but then came Christmas and things went downhill fast. No work today but plenty to do at home. So will get out there for a walk, no countryside close enough but some very pleasant and pretty streets locally. That’ll do for a start ;)?
