Well Tom, amazing! (::)
Lots of family tragedy and heartache, so sorry.
What was the pattern of your former drinking, if you don’t mind me asking?

Re: Personal Goals

Yep, I think it all counts, AF days are always good Reflecting on quitting alcohol - I think it’s just the start Really pleased I don’t have that sh*t in my life anymore, I have enough to deal with Not really feeling like I’m on top of it but beginning to deal with things as I need to, I think, as i...

Re: Personal Goals

I feel sad reading that, Seismic. I guess you could wash the dogs? <:)> Do you see yourself going to the GP or alcohol services anytime soon? Family life is stressful, I know I’ve thought of leaving many times. Then I start to think - careful what you wish for. Like you I try to weigh things up. Liv...

Re: Personal Goals

I’m the same with wine - cannot open a bottle without finishing it, don’t want that obsession back It reminded me last night when I didnt resist an ice cream after tea swiftly followed by shortbread, Xmas cake then a sugar slump - felt drugged. Alcohol and sugar have the same effect on me, I cannot ...

Weigh in this morning - sigh! I've been comfort eating since my close friend's suicide in September, and that, plus Christmas, really shows on the scales!
Hey SB, come over to the fitness and weight management thread, there’s a few of us gearing up there!

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Hey Sandy there’s a free SW joining voucher in woman magazine. It does work, short term, at least that’s been my experience. Good if you have a deadline! I don’t think you really have to wait for a certain day of the week to start if you’re determined! :lol: https://www.womanmagazine.co.uk/diet-food...

I did research it a bit as part of an assignment last year - UK is pretty bad although ethnic minority groups in ...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Weird! Walking round the supermarket wondering what I can have for pudding, remembering I don’t eat sugar but then immediately wanting more sugary stuff again. Used to be wine! Nearly went for some nakd bars cos they were half price but read the label and they’re half carbohydrate. Hmm, not so fast,...
