Re: Liver Disease and Tests

Hi Winkler, I think seismic has high cholesterol too, I'm trying to reduce through diet.

Panic over, my GGT is 12, the receptionist got it wrong. I still want to come off the quetiapine though, it can cause liver damage

Re: Liver Disease and Tests

Hey bluebottle Sorry, I know next to nothing about DVLA decisions, I just knew a high GGT is often associated with alcohol, but as you say, I’m sure there are other explanations Could you have the tests repeated? Noticed I’d mentioned having high cholesterol- well, 6 months (and more) of abstinence...

Re: Liver Disease and Tests

I've just got the results of my lft, GGT was 55 which I believe is abnormal, my GP didn't bother to tell me. I think it's due to the quetiapine as that's the only difference, I have been abstinent for months. Anyway does anyone know if the DVLA will use this to refuse my driver's licence? Thoroughly...

Congratulations newt, 7 years is fab. \:)/ (::) \:)/

I've not been doing so well with the smoking, had a total of 12 cigarettes in just under 9 months, still battling those demons, hopefully things will improve soon. :(

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Hi Nicky, I'm sorry to hear that, I'm not sure but I think they only want 3 months stability, so hopefully you will get it back soon. <:)> <:)> I'm still fighting my revocation, wrote a letter to my old psychiatrist today, really hope he'll back me up but he's retired and might not want to get invol...

Re: The Cyclists' Thread

Hi TC, Sandy, Danny and Nicky. :\: Well I got a lend of a bike a week or two ago, really enjoying getting out. I'm terribly wobbly and cycle on the pavement most of the time, god knows how you're meant to give hand signals, brake and change gear all at the same time. :o Luckily I got a padded saddle...

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

I take Fluoxetine and olanzapine for my mood. I have mixed bipolar depression and anxiety. I took my olanzapine at 10pm last night and woke up at 12pm today!! I have been taking it at 10 in hospital , but think i need to take it earlier as it makes me so tired. Is anyone else taking olanzapine? If ...

Re: Legal Problems And Drink.

I'm pretty gobsmacked, got my court date through today, it's mid July. Not sure if I'll be able to get a decision then but I've written a long letter to my solicitor putting over my side of the story and hopefully we can get statements in before then. I don't know if anyone else has been through thi...

Re: Legal Problems And Drink.

Sorry to hear that Ruby. You've gone to such a lot of effort to keep it. How long is it revoked for? Spoke to my GP today, seems like my psychiatrist is being a b'stard saying I was alcohol dependent last September. I'm planning on complaining about him as I'm sure he only said it out of spite (I t...

Re: Legal Problems And Drink.

Thanks Mark, Nicky and TC, I've got an appointment with my GP on Tuesday and I contacted a lawyer today, I should be entitled to legal aid. I've been posting on another site where they pretty much say the DVLA is a law unto themselves, but I don't hold out much hope.

Re: Legal Problems And Drink.

Hi All/anybody, got my drivers' licence revoked today, seriously pissed off especially since I passed the CDT test (I got 1.0 which is under the 1.6 required). Got an telephone appointment with my GP next Tuesday but I doubt he'll do anything. Thoroughly gutted.
