Re: The First 7 Days

Evening all, great to hear everyone in good spirits. Busy day today. Probably the best way. Gonna watch the 1st episode of Chernobyl. Probably in bad taste to say but whatever your issues at least you haven’t been subject to nuclear contamination ! Having watched the 1st 15 minutes I take that ill ...

Re: The First 7 Days

Slept fairly well last night, no sweats, not 100% and stomach still recovering but on the mend. Weights in the gym later and some more cardio. May seem extreme but I find it speeds recovery for me. I know i’ll be fine now for a while. Each day as it comes but got to start planning now to avoid anymo...

5km run done. Light at the end of the tunnel. Back in there tomorrow for some weights. Still not 100% but certainly an improvement on last couple of days and this morning.

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi Martha :\: Thanks for the welcome Feeling pretty good at the moment...less anxious and great not having a hangover. Sleeping isn’t great but at least I’m not waking with palpitations and fast heart rate due to the alcohol (poison) previously chucked down my throat  I’ve got the week off an...

Re: The First 7 Days

2 days now but seems like a lifetime. Feel absolutely terrible. Slept really bad sweating again. Stomach is bad. Feel incredibly anxious and like my heart mind are racing. Got up with the intention of doing things and keeping busy and will get a gym session in. If the anxiety doesn’t go after that ...

Re: 100 Day Kickstart

More Allen Carr ; reaching the critical point where I’m older, much higher consumption and aspects of life reaching critical stage. So many dangerous things I’ve done in my life that really could lose me everything but strangely I keep doing it. On to the willpower section and why that alone doesn’t...

Re: 100 Day Kickstart

31/100 Strong link between alcohol use and anxiety Which came first? Horrible what alcohol does to your brain, it seems as though the perception is liver damage but it ain’t good anywhere. Good as cleaning fluid and not much else ha! Caught myself thinking there’s nothing to look forward to and rel...

Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

Hi, I have bought Allen Carr easy way to control drinking, finding it difficult to concentrate at moment. Vicious circle, piled on weight and psoriasis is awful and I know it’s the wine. I feel slightly positive reading the forums that you and others have overcome this. I don’t want to quit but I d...

Re: The First 7 Days

Back to day 1 again for me, had a really heavy weekend of drinking and I feel totally disgusted with myself Spent money we should of been saving and feel awful. I've been using alcohol as a coping mechanism recently, well it stops now. Know that feeling only too well. I’m full on incapacitated by i...

Re: 100 Day Kickstart

3/100 I've been working on my anxiety levels a lot over the past few weeks Pink and seem to have made lots of progress Exploring different breathing techniques has made a huge difference to me. I' always tried to use calming breaths when I felt really anxious, usually by that stage it didn't do muc...

Re: 100 Day Kickstart

Ok guys so I’m gonna ditch the 7 day thread and start on a 100 day mission. For me 7 days is not the issue. I regularly go weeks without a drink. I have completed 13 weeks once before so that’s 91 days so I’m going for a record breaker 😉 But in all seriousness I want to do it to give me a great oppo...

Re: The First 7 Days

Thanks for your messages. Slept further but woke up bathed in sweat again. Anxiety levels through the roof. Thinking of doing a 100 days so I can really feel the benefit of an extended period, achieve something, stay alert for work and then reflect. Feel dreadful but need to start getting a few thin...

Not a bad call that. Longest I ever went was 13 weeks and with a new job coming up soon that’s probably a very good idea 👍🏻

Re: The First 7 Days

Just thinking about the the total waste of money from the other night. Not good. Could have done without that. I have a bonus coming up at month end so at least I can make it up. Can’t focus on these negatives though. Need to live in this moment. Is everything ok right now at this moment. Yes it is....
