Re: Two Week Challenge

Thank you Pickles and Ragnar.
Yes once the wobble passes it seems inconceivable you'd give in..but at the time those cravings can be evil

Thanks again for so much support. Keep going everyone! One day at a time

Re: Two Week Challenge

Hi everyone just been having a read of everyone's posts, everyone's doing so well! I am on day 10 today. Day 10 is ALWAYS my wobble day. If I can get through day 10, I can carry on. Last time I tried this, on day 10 I failed, thought: Hey you've done really well! You look better, sleeping better, fe...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi all am back here again...day two for me:( I managed 10 days just before this but slipped up into the old 'wow, we've done this ages, we deserve a treat, just one night of naughtiness...' four days later and drinking every single day I feel like rubbish. So day 2. I am beginning to bore myself. I ...

Re: The Wobble Board

Ditto to what Zara just said. As a person on day 4 after a massive time off the wagon, I admire you lot for sticking with this as long as you have done. I re posted again today for the first time in weeks and ALREADY I am having wobbles. I sometimes feel I quite literally have a split personality - ...

Re: The First 7 Days

Thanks Zara and Pokerbird, I remember now how supportive this place is and how it helped me stay sober before...Then I vanished and managed to fall off the wagon again! I think checking in here at least daily really helped me so plan to do that again. Reading other people's successes is really inspi...

Re: I Will Not Drink Today Because..............

...because some mornings I wake up paranoid/ having dreamt I've drunk...and then I realise I haven't and it's SUCH a relief. As someone once said on here 'you never wake up thinking hmmm wish I'd drank last night' So for that reason, for the blessed relief of non hungover mornings, I will not drink ...

Re: I Will Not Drink Today Because..............

because I feel healthier each day I am further away from the last 'slip' and because I am more patient with those around me. And because booze is a nasty nasty drug that can kill. So for that reason I shall NOT drink today!!!! How are you becoming more patient with people? Im trying, I would love t...

Re: Three Week Challenge

Ditto Jack....Weekends are always harder. Particularly as I have a family birthday....half of me was even half planning to just have a 'sod it' moment... But I know how terrible I'd feel... I want to carry on waking up each day guilt free and happier. Oh why is EAF so evil?! Stay strong Jack, Bell, ...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi Joanne Hold on <:)> This is an urge, it will pass. You have to ignore the 'now' urge and think about the consequences of later/ tomorrow etc. I had wobble recently, including this morning! I tell myself to ignore, ignore ignore...They will go. Yours will. Stay strong as you are doing SO well. Don...

Re: Three Week Challenge

Hi three weekers I am here! I've not been posting so much but I've been here, snooping around and reading other people's posts. To be honest I've been wobbling as well and found that when i read about alcohol, even bad things, sometimes it makes me think about it even MORE! So have been avoiding gen...

Re: The First 7 Days

HI again Zelda, Thanks for the reply and insight. I agree with the post above as well though that at least you have caught this, at least you know. As you rightly say, think how many of us don't know and how many out there who don't even realise they have a problem (which at least all us on BE do!) ...
