Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

My partner gave birth to two beautiful little girls this time last week. They were a bit premature so still in hospital. Can't wait to get them home. Honestly dont think it would have happened if I hadn't stopped drinking, and wouldn't have managed to do that without the support from this site. Than...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Just thought I'd say hello as noone has posted here for almost a month! I think I'm up to 20 months now. We had a small scare with our twin pregnancy which tested me somewhat. One is a bit smaller than the other which can mean something but often doesn't. At the moment it doesn't. Week 26 anyway wit...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Well done Trojan. Brilliant stuff. What do you think the stages have been for you? I think people feel that one year is a big milestone and then by two years the brain and emotions have settled down. Is that your experience that it plateaus after two years? I'm a year and a half in, still a bit up a...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hope it all goes well Rachel. Well done Deanna! Amazing! Today was the first time I've been properly tempted to drink in a long time. Have been to hospital and 'diagnosed' identical twins which is a slightly riskier pregnancy for my partner. Im just feeling a bit freaked out by it all. When I though...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Congrats SB on 3 years. That's fantastic to hear about your improved mental health. I've found my own is certainly improving in year two. You may remember me and my partner are expecting a baby, well we went for a scan today and it seems I've underestimated and there are in fact two on the way! Im a...

Re: COVID-19 Support & Chat

Yes I've not heard any increased risk for pregnant women. I'm in Denmark and it's not an advisory notice here. Just a bit over cautious I suppose. Im trying to stay away from the news but not very successfully! I went out for a couple of walks today in the sun and felt ok. It's very calm in Denmark....

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Sorry to hear about your loss Kim. I get what you say London bloke. Maybe I need some talking therapy. It feels like I have an infinite number of flash cards in my head to draw from and they all have the sub-title 'i can't believe I did that'. The thing is I was trying to destroy myself at times and...

I think that's a great idea cowboy. It's a really odd time for all of us. A unique global situation.

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Wow there's some action going on in here today! Like buses... I was hoping I could pick brains or maybe there is a better thread. I'm now at about 15 months and don't feel tempted to drink at all but I can't seem to shift feelings of guilt and depression. Some of that is winter related and being a b...

I'd just like to make it clear that I am not part of the Johnson baby boom. Imagine being someone who gets frisky on the back of a Tory party victory. (w)

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Thansk all very much for taking the time to give me your words. We did a home test a couple of weeks ago, I guess they are pretty reliable. All the other signs are there as well. I suppose thinking about it, the human race has been recreating itself for a long time before structuring meetings was a ...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Not sure where to put this really, not sure if its even the right forum, but I guess this is my 'spritual' virtual home so whatevs. My partner is 6 weeks pregnant. Its too early for telling family, I think its too early to be getting excited about it although I am very happy about it. We are both a ...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

I had to Google the 'oysters'. That's a load of bull!

I've been to Canada a long time ago. I'd love to visit the middle states, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Idaho. I'm more interested in the nature than the cities on the coasts.

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Ah no love that Deanna. It sounds beautiful. I lived in northern Sweden for a few years, in winter it was magical. Snow and pine trees. You did make me think of the opening to the shining when he's driving up through the Rockies. Beautiful.
