Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Morning all, And yes - anyone lurking or reading for the first time....I am (genuinely) a personal trainer and I do believe in eating healthily (there's almost nothing more important). But as others have said - we often sprout a sweet tooth in the absence of alcohol, and that's fine! Sometimes my di...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Pandora - how is the house hunting going? Did you manage to take a cat with you this time to ensure the correct measurements.. See this is what happens when you go away for a while, and don't read back a few pages! What? I'm well. Very well. Super-busy, hence not being on here much/at all as well a...

OE. Didn't you marry me because I was jilted at the keyboard? Either reason is good enough for me. :D

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

CJ - we have this in common. Well, almost, because I AM perfect in every way. Now, OE - 5kg of chocolate shows an excellent commitment to your own wellbeing and I applaud you. There are those nay-sayers who'd say something like 'For ****'s sake, that's ****ing gluttonous and repulsive' but not me, I...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hey, I shall hang about for a bit. Like some others have said - it got to a point where this site became a bit of a crutch and began to occupy rather too much time. But I'll stick around for now. For what it's worth - I do log in most weeks to check messages. Now. Chocolate. I'm listening. What seem...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Where is your husband? Well I am here! ;)? Hello all..... Morning We have a smattering but that's all... Mind you our forecast shows diddly squat so I am grateful for any paltry effort. BE, good to see you. I agree I don't think I ever laughed so hard as that "wedding". Where is my husband anyway......

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Ah yes, the wedding. No - OE and I have never divorced, but then we haven't consumated the relationship either. Or, if I'm honest, met. Is she not posting these days? I may have to go back and have a read. I do remember it being hilarious, especially when the visiting dignitary swept in and we all f...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Sandy - no no no. Mini magnums are all wrong. You remember? Five a day? Chocolate (bean) Vanilla (bean), cream is a dairy product derived from cows eating grass (surely the king of vegetables) and sugar from cane. All infused with the woody goodness of the stick. A mini magnum simply isn't big enoug...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hi again all, Sorry to post and then go quiet. Life is mega-busy at the moment - the life of a fitness professional is an erratic one! Since I was last posting much, I have actually done a nutrition course, but (and you won't believe this) it didn't once mention the beneficial properties of either T...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi All,

Wiggy - day one for me as well. I've been on and off this site for a while, and managed seven weeks as a maximum and a few lesser runs as well. The support on offer here is wonderful and although it's a cliche - the one-day-at-a-time is the way to go. One minute at a time sometimes.

Morning all.

How pleased was I to have accidentally set my alarm an hour early today? 04:20, instead of 05:20.

Harumph.

Re: The Nine Month Challenge

Morning all, No meditation for me last night, but I did get a fabulous night’s sleep. I’m not sure I get what meditation is, that isn’t just the same thing as lying down. If we’re having new rooms, can mine please have a sliding glass wall opening onto an infinity pool, please? I’d also qu...

Re: The Nine Month Challenge

Hi all, I know, I know, I know, it's only day two. But I found myself smiling as I drove to teach a class this morning. Good feelings. Meditation last night.....well, I fell asleep pretty early on in the session - which really was the plan, so in that aspect it was a success, and gave me a good nigh...

Re: The Nine Month Challenge

Funny I have hopped into conversations about meditation. I have just this very day downloaded a guided meditation that I'll listen to tonight when I go to bed. I will report back. I shouldn't worry about my newfound nutrition knowledge, it's all in how you apply it. For instance - we are supposed to...
