Re: The Wobble Board

I feel today I’m literally hanging on by the skin of my teeth. My football team’s in the Scottish Cup semi-final and it’s the final day of the US Masters golf. Both those events would probably have me well on the way already. Trying everything to fight the thoughts of indulging- so far I’m winning....

Happy that 8 April is now here ;)? I can really start to move forward with my quit plans instead of procrastinating all the time  Great, Spats! Hope all goes well. Luckycat, you're sounding very positive! \:)/ This morning, I'm grateful for the sunshine and the frost on the grass

Re: Today, I felt the urge to drink when...

Hang on in there JK. It's good you posted. I felt the urge to drink about five minutes ago :( I drank last night and I'm feeling the effects this morning - mostly anxiety and a feeling of 'I've blown it'. Also feel rough physically and the urge to drink to take the edge off it is there. In reality I...

Re: The place to say "I haven't had a drink today"

I haven't had a drink today. Fourth day in a row I can say that. Was touch and go earlier for no other reason than boredom  but I am safe with hot chocolate now.

Re: Sober March

Well, I have been abysmal at Sober March :? It's like I've just given up (giving up) and just don't care. I feel rubbish physically and although mentally I'm ok I know I could be doing better and feeling happier and more 'on top' of things. I really hope I can get a grip for April :?

I received good news that I was successful at interview but the anxiety while waiting for the news led to drinking...which then turned into 'celebration' drinking.... (w)

Re: The First 7 Days

Hello :\: I think I might join again. I have been drinking daily for what seems like ages, but a couple of weeks anyway. Its to 'cope' with work demands/stress but actually starting every day feeling sick is stressful in itself :x I just can't seem to be bothered to try a sober stint  I don't ...

Re: Please post here if you are planning to drink.

I...think I'm going to get wine. Posted about how I'm feeling in the 2-4 week thread and have been arguing with myself for hours at this point. I honestly have tried to convince myself not to but saying or typing the words it's all getting drowned out by the immature toddler voice just going 'but I...

Re: The Wobble Board

Had a bad day today, the appointment with my psychiatrist didn't go well. He said that people don't have insight (in bipolar) and that my opinion counts for nothing even though I explained various manic episodes that I have experienced. Craving a bit but realise that drinking to relieve stre...

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Having a bad day today, saw my quack and he reiterated that I don't have bipolar but do have borderline personality disorder. He gave me hell for emailing the psychiatrist that I liked (he retired a couple of years ago). He also refused to put me on a mood stabiliser and has reduced my olanzapine (...
