Re: The First 7 Days

Day 4 here too Maria and hi to everyone else too. Fleeting thoughts of alcohol but nothing major. I've been drinking due to boredom so I need to tackle that. Boredom is often my problem.

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Really accomplished lot you are.... well done. I went for my first walk this morning.. only half a hour and sweated up a storm but if I do it twice a day I want to drop these 10kgs I put on over the last year... Does anyone use a Fitbit device on their wrist? I am considering getting one to such wi...

Re: The First 7 Days

One of today's tips I got via email to get through cravings is to set a timer for 15 minutes, do something else such as take a walk, eat, do something relaxing, phone someone then when the timer goes off see how you feel and of the craving passed. If not try doing something different and time it ag...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

I have a big mound of mashed potato. (w) I'll be around in half an hour, keep it warm for me  Been on the treadmill this morning. Week 3 of Couch to 5k. It was ok and my legs already look more toned. Ah that's great! Good to see a difference so quickly. I keep thinking I should get back to...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Actually, I might get sweet potatoes today, for me, they’re lower on glycaemic index ;)? Oooh I really like sweet potatoes - just as tasty as potatoes, I think! Have you tried riced cauli served as mash? It's nice too. I mean, it doesn't fool you into thinking it's mashed potatoes, but it's nice :D

Re: Personal Goals

I think you’re right though because I do work with the vulnerable so I’m probably better to air on the side of caution. I really think you should, Kath. Not at all meaning to have a go at you, but this is exactly how it spreads - it's so so infectious and some people don't even realise they have it...

Re: Personal Goals

Well Done ruby \:)/ Hi everyone ;)? Not sure if I should isolate. I have breathlessness and a slight cough. But everywhere I read it say persistent cough which it definitely isn’t and it doesn’t say to isolate over breathlessness so I guess I just wait and see if cough gets worse? Breathlessness is...

I do believe dieting makes you fat, saying that.
Oh, for sure! Unfortunately I've experimented and found that not dieting also makes you fat

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Sandy, if you're feeling hungry a lot, you could try upping your protein intake? Also, don't eliminate (or try to eliminate) fats completely. The combination of protein and fat can help you to feel fuller for longer. You could also try avoiding sugar-free products because the fake sweeteners apparen...
