Re: Please post here if you are planning to drink.

I...think I'm going to get wine. Posted about how I'm feeling in the 2-4 week thread and have been arguing with myself for hours at this point. I honestly have tried to convince myself not to but saying or typing the words it's all getting drowned out by the immature toddler voice just going 'but I...

Re: The Wobble Board

Had a bad day today, the appointment with my psychiatrist didn't go well. He said that people don't have insight (in bipolar) and that my opinion counts for nothing even though I explained various manic episodes that I have experienced. Craving a bit but realise that drinking to relieve stre...

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Having a bad day today, saw my quack and he reiterated that I don't have bipolar but do have borderline personality disorder. He gave me hell for emailing the psychiatrist that I liked (he retired a couple of years ago). He also refused to put me on a mood stabiliser and has reduced my olanzapine (...

That's positive, Ruby!

Just all the time at the moment I feel positive with bright/light mornings and birds singing. Easily pleased

Re: Personal Goals

Hi goalies, 11 months today since I started giving up alcohol, with 11 drinking days in-between, I would never have believed I would get this far, my attitude to drink sure has changed over these months, no plans for a drink, just keeping on 1 day at a time. 324/11/300 Ruby XX This is amazing Ruby!...

Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

Further to my last reply can anyone point me in the direction of a place to post where I’m really wanting to quit and seeking professional help but not started yet. I don’t feel like u can do a 7 day challenge as I feel that’s too much pressure right now. Hi Avocado, just wanted to say welcome :\:

Re: What Has Made You Happy/Angry/Sad/Proud/Grateful Today?

None of the above, really. Overwhelmed and stressed with work. Frustrated with the amount I have to get through in the next week and a bit. I'm already tired and feeling I can't take much more on.

Happy and grateful - daylight and birds singing. It's the small things

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

That's an amazing loss Martha! Well done. I've always felt great on low carb, and lost lots of weight, but can't sustain it for very long. You're very inspiring, but I have bread rising and a butter bean stew in the oven, so I don't think I'll be following your example just yet! YUM! Sounds delicio...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Hi everyone, I've been low-carbing combined with intermitten fasting for the last 8 days and have lost 8lbs (which I know is obviously not all fat) in those 8 days. My go-to foods have been avocado, eggs, spinach/salad, green leafy veg and oily fish like sardines and salmon. Kind of craving bread, c...

Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

Right there with you on the chocolate, also cheesecake, cake cake, and then more chocolate  When drinking I don't go for sweet stuff at all, would always go for cheese over puddings but now can't seem to get enough sugar! I'm hoping it'll subside if/when I have a few weeks sober behind me. Hi...

Re: SOS - Post here if you need help (No General Chat Please)

I've had enough, please please help, I can't do this alone anymore..... I'm drunk, but not that drunk, but soooo depressed, I know drinking doesn't help but right now I don't care.... I'll drink to oblivion....I'm so scared, of myself and the lack of sleeep which is truly debilitating. I don't see ...

Re: The Wobble Board

urrrrrgggghhhh...coming up to 5am and I haven't slept at all. Am staying away from home tonight and stupidly forgot my meds, without them and/or copious amounts of alcohol sleep just does not happen. Thoughts of drinking getting louder and the reasons not to getting more distant and fuzzy. Feel so ...

I wrecked it... day 1 again...was at 65 days... back to square 1 Maypole <:)> No way are you back to square 1 after 65 days! That's amazing!! It would only be back to square 1 if you slunk away and hid and continued drinking. And you're not doing to do that, right? Think about the wise words SB wro...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

3lb gain in one weekend away. Sigh. My friends are big eaters as well as big drinkers - never been served a pork pie as a starter before! Feels good to be home and back in control of my own meal planning. Yeah, that's unlikely to be a gain of 3lbs fat. You'd have to eat 3500 calories X 3 ON TOP of ...
