Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Wow there's some action going on in here today! Like buses... I was hoping I could pick brains or maybe there is a better thread. I'm now at about 15 months and don't feel tempted to drink at all but I can't seem to shift feelings of guilt and depression. ....... I've never done anything too bad bu...

Re: 100 Day Kickstart

Hi all. Good to be back on the site. I’m on day 10 and hope I can support all of us on the same journey. So far it’s been okay with occasional pangs. I do feel tired and overweight. Maybe I felt that beforehand I’m not sure. I’m not expecting to feel great for awhile, which is why I want to do 100 d...

I paid £2.20 for a pint of Soda and LIME in a pub today after gym class.
That's some markup for a non-drinker to stomach.

Re: Sober October

Hi fellow soberoids !

No real pangs; just the habit reflex occasionally.
But saving money, losing some weight, exercising more.

Shields up; and fair play to anyone who worked thru their cravings / pangs.

Re: Sober October

Liking the group support here for SO.

Went to a great BBQ yesterday, just 4 of us, 2 drinking, 2 on SO.
Very happy to have stuck to soft drinks. It was a great day. End of story.

Lucy,

You are showing admirable courage, resilience, empathy and self-awareness right now. And openness. You're amazing.

"i hAvEn'T hAd a dRInK tODaY".

I have lazily copied the esteemed Digger, but without the formatting.

That's not the point - the point is that we soberoids are doing great.

Re: The place to say "I haven't had a drink today" .

To wobble is human. We have history.

I was at a big event, with free wine and beer after. I had lemonade. My Dry January is just that. Nuffink alcoholic, free or not.
