Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Hi Sandy How soon is your appointment? If it's not within the next few days I would phone and ask to speak to the psych. Please don't stop anything without discussing it with him/her. They may agree that it needs to be stopped but it may be necessary to do cut it down gradually. If you've always dru...

Re: Staying single/Being alone

Hi Enfin You're doing the right thing. You have to look after yourself first and foremost. I was on my own for a long time with my children and only remarried just over a year ago. I think you have more chance of meeting the right person when your older and wiser. But you have to be comfortable walk...

Re: Eating and Food Issues

Hi Enfin Is it the thought of solid food that disgusts you? How are you finding the nutritional drinks? A lot of people find it useful to liquidise things to begin with and gradually make the liquid thicker. If you're enjoying the nutritional drinks you might find that useful. Eventually you can inc...

Re: Eating and Food Issues

Hi Enfin It makes perfect sense. I didn't mention this before but I have a degree in dietetics so don't hesitate to ask me anything about eating. You're doing incredibly well and everyone here is here for you as much as for anyone else so keep talking and keep doing what your doing because your doin...

Re: Cutting Down

Hey Enfin I wish I was there to give you a massive hug! God you are doing well! Don't worry about my flooded classroom (I feel guilty about mentioning it). I am in Scotland and it was the result of frozen pipes, taps left on by confused people (with no water coming out they didn't know if the taps w...

Re: Cutting Down

Hi Enfin Sorry I've not been around for a few days. Back at work on Monday and my classroom had been flooded during the Christmas Break. So I've been coming home shattered every day this week. I shouldn't complain as there are so many with much bigger things to deal with than an "upside down" classr...

Re: Cutting Down

Hi Enfin That's great your going to check in every day, that's what we're all here for! Some days we check in 'cause we need too for ourselves and our family. Some days we check in 'cause we're thinking of someone else on here and wondering how they're doing. Sounds like you've put a lot of thought ...

Re: Cutting Down

Hi Enfin Sounds to me like you're doing the right thing! Sorry if I sounded patronising before but I was just concerned. Drinking friends are the last thing you need right now. Well done for being so very brave. It's probably too early just now but is there anything that you're interested in that yo...

Re: Cutting Down

Hi Enfin Can I ask do your friends know why you didn't go out with them tonight? I'm just wondering if they knew whether they would be supportive, if they would then you might want to get them on board rather than letting them go. Also, I'm wondering about the same things with your b/f? It's amazing...

Re: Eating and Food Issues

Hi Enfin It's great that you've managed to eat a litle yesterday. Remember to build it up slowly. Also that you're thinking of seeing the psychologist again. Make it clear that you want help with the food aversion. I know exactly what you mean about dredging up the past. Not everyone needs that type...

Re: Eating and Food Issues

Hi Enfin Have you been to the doctor? You food aversion will have a great deal to do with your stomach now having shrunk after eating so little for such a long time. The drinking may have caused this but the food aversion is now a separate problem and I think you should see a dietician and possibly ...

Well done Pipster! You should be sooooooo proud of yourself! (::) ;)? <:)> :D I did it. I spoke to my husband on the phone this morning to discuss finances, custody of the children, legal stuff etc etc. It was a draining, upsetting conversation but I did it without a hangover and without needing a d...
