Re: NOTICE BOARD

Hiya Jan,

I can see your point actually.

I hope you reconsider, we're worse off without you.

Sarah.

Re: KEEPING IN TOUCH ON FORUM

Dear Cheryl,

I've seen nothing but useful help and advice from you whenever you've posted - trawling through earlier posts etc.

Just want to say as a current member who is using BE as a massive crutch, thank you.

Re: NOTICE BOARD

May I just say that to witness people whom I've leaned heavily on for advice falling into debate with others who seem set on creating a rift is disappointing and upsetting. Being able to hold oneself aloof to a certain degree when subjects of this nature are raised will almost certainly be those sam...

Re: KEEPING IN TOUCH ON FORUM

Hiya everyone,

I've not been on because I'm in a bit of a bad place right now. Nothing damaging to myself or anything, but having a hard time with my relationship. I'm ok, just wanted to say why I'm not posting as a result of a pm I received from someone who was worrying.

Re: Please post here if you are planning to drink.

Its like it worms into your brain, every single millimetre more gives it more of a hold and it's harder to get out once it's in. What on earth possessed me to get so attached to it in the first place, I'd truly love to know! I wish it was easier than this :) But never mind, got a nice meal on - diet...

Re: Please post here if you are planning to drink.

I know :(

A weak moment, but hopefully not a harmful one eh!

Can't say I've flicked the thought off, but I feel more resolve again now.

Thanks Kitty :)

Re: Please post here if you are planning to drink.

I'm considering having a drink tonight. Apart from the fact that the kids are driving me mad (literally) and I feel the need to relax without a cuppa or a diet coke, even fruit juice is boring me to pieces, I've had one blip in two weeks. I'm wondering about consciously/verbally planning to have a d...

Re: SUPPORT/CHAT/GENERAL November 2008

I think a lot lurk - that is, read but don't post. Then you have people like Qwerty who just lose the site and struggle to find it again (done it myself with lots of sites - think I'll remember then forget!). I think a lot of people register in a drunken moment - knowing they have a problem and don'...

The Gym...wow! I'm jealous :D Watching you do so well is fuelling my desire to stay off too, so hopefully we're helping each other! Why don't we move onto the general/support/chat thread? I think we can safely say your moment of crisis has passed for now and it will leave the space free for those wh...

Re: SOS - Post here if you need help (NO GENERAL CHAT PLEASE)

Hello and good morning everyone, Well a good nights sleep was not had I can tell you. Re: How childhood shapes us

Hey Sally I am also trying to lose weight and actually it is coming off. Yeah gives me something else to focus on, but not just weight for weight sake, trying to do the whole Calorie Restriction thing. so eating fewer calories but making sure the ones i do eat are very nutrient dense. I did study n...

Hiya Anna,

Nothing weird about it - my Mum suffers from absences, and from her descriptions I can almost relate to the feelings you had (if that makes sense).

Re: Bipolar disorder and alcoholism

Scared of the organisation I suppose. So used to living a rollercoaster of emotions that writing it all down to review afterward IS scaring me quite badly. Will do it anyway (if I don't forget!! another story).

Well I did it I think! Tomorrow is a week without drink. None tonight, and nothing I like in the house so it's looking promising :)

Well done to everyone who has got through today xx

Re: Bipolar disorder and alcoholism

Yes. He's been very good until today. Thinking laterally about it, he meant depression = counsellor, moods = pmt. Says that my highs are lows would be on the most minimal scale of bi-polar. Once he clarified I don't hear noises/voices that was it and I should see the counsellor, which of course I wi...
