Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

hey thanks freshie. I see you are still swirling those hips lol. Here in France, the President has just announced the shut down of all creches, schools and universities. All OAPS are to stay at home and not receive visitors, all companies are to sort out working from home where necessary. My man's c...

Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

Hi folks. Signing in on day 8 and it has been a LONG while since i have said that. I was just dithering around not drinking for four or five days then hitting the fizz. Managed to swerve last nights massive "permission choir" which came singing in my ear from about half four onwards. Very very diffi...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi All, Panda, Bruce, Swordie and Vic, Bruce, I have put a phrase into my head which I say when I want a drink "alcohol means sadness". because that is the thing I most see,.. i become miserable and depressed, as well as tired and lethargic. What is your major down point with alcohol? I need to have...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi all,
came home and saw that my man has opened a bottle of fizz and it is in the fridge. Suddenly realised that I would have automatically given my demon his fix had it not been for the antibiotics... Was not on guard at all.

Day five.

Re: The First 7 Days

signing out at the end of day four.
My 'project' brain is coming back. My desire to 'do" stuff. Alcohol completely puts that to bed, and makes me feel to tired to even think about stuff.
night all,

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi Everyone :\: I’m on day 1 again but I planned to drink. I was fine with my weak lager until someone was horrible to me so I polished off a bottle of wine. Not good! I’ve managed nearly 5 weeks sober so I’m just going to carry on where I left off. I hope everyone is doing well <:)> Hi everyone, d...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi All, well done Panda on 9 days. Go for 10 now, and then when you get there who knows!! Swordie, I'm feeling better today thanks. I am SO glad I have these awful antibiotics to take to give me a helping hand at not drinking. The fear of my throat closing up if I drink is truely steering me clear. ...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi Swordie, Yesterday, my day off too, was just a day of total pain. Just didn't know what to do with myself as the toothache was just so bad. The antibiotics have started to work so the immense throbbing has calmed down a bit now. It is bearable. Just delighted that I have an ABSOLUTE reason that I...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi all, I am daring to show my shameful face on here with a little more hope because I have just been given pills for an absyss under a crown, and the reaction to this particular antibiotic, even with a small amount of alcohol is swelling of the neck and face... I am literally 'safe' from buying a b...

you are so courageous coming on here and not being "on here". I take my hat off to you. When you are ready, we are waiting for you. How about trying working week days to start?

Re: The First 7 Days

Morning all and big welcome to "hopeto". Wow, awake at 7.30 on my day off, and up and showered and dressed by 8.30 Normally, having convinced myself last night that I could drink because no work today, I would be lying in bed, not sleeping, not having slept well, and not able to get my sorry arse ou...

Re: The First 7 Days

hi all, day two coming to an end and it was a shock because I had an inner struggle. I normally work tomorrow so would not worry about not drinking, but I have changed my day off this week and subsequently my demon was on fire in my head! So home I am, and have literally stuffed my face with food. T...

Re: The First 7 Days

Day six is opening. Today my friend comes. I have planned to NOT be in this evening, to go for a meal with my man to try to sort out some of our issues, and so to not be available for the girls night in. Avocado, if you have managed dry January you have the PERFECT response to pressure. 1. laugh 2. ...

Re: The First 7 Days

Evening all,
day five drawing to a close. Have felt a bit anxious all afternoon, but am determined not to give in to pills... like with alcohol, i just have to learn to 'feel it', good or bad.
Don't like it though.
