Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

Hey Deb,
are you doing the 5:2 diet? Or the 16:8?
I am thinking about trying 16:8, I would like to lose about 10kgs.
More info would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

Good Morning to you all, Lottie, Maria and Debs. Day 9 is dawning for me, and it is already in the bag because I will be on a train from 3 until 10 this evening, after visiting my son. I don't know what possessed me, but yesterday in an outdoor market, I decided to buy a water melon, because in the ...

I have just received at last (2 months after order) 720 Yorkshire tea bags from England. I was practically hysterical with delight (::) (::)

Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

Day 8 so joining you all on here. Before this day 8, I got to day 10, so really happy that in the last 18 days I have failed once. Something feels good at the moment. I feel the real desire to not drink. I have that "want" to fight for a clearer better life. Long may it last. Have a wonderful day fe...

Day seven \:)/
Johnny, if you look at the days AF rather than the fail days, you are adding up a good deal of AF time.
Positivity. Look at the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadows.

Re: The First 7 Days

Day six and on my way down to the south of france for the weekend to see my son. It will be a strange time, "nostalgie" will no doubt be present, as he lives where me and his dad lived when we first got married. This is the first time going back there since I left 18 years ago. Anyway, there is no w...

Re: The First 7 Days

First day of "Happy June" seveners. If we join Happy June together, that means we will all be over one month sober at the end. Let's crack it. Sober = Happy. Drink = misery.

Let's all hammer that into our noggins!

Feeling good this beautiful sunny morning.

Re: The First 7 Days

Day one here too. Are we all signing up for dry June?
Personally I could call it Happy June, because alcohol always makes me feel so darn low the next day.

Re: The Next 2 - 4 Weeks

That is great Boris. It is so nice to know that we have 'someone', even if we think we would never impose upon them. I'm jumping in with you all on day 8. I'm struggling today. I had a blood test and liver scan and he told me my liver was fine! I nearly fell of the bed!. He looked at my kidneys, spl...

Re: The First 7 Days

oh God, the "off' switch. For me, once I've had "one", I have 'failed", and based on the fact I'm trying to give up, that means that if I "fail" with one drink, i might as well 'make the most of this fail" and get hammered; How stupid is that??? It is like i will have "wasted' a fail if I dont get d...

Re: The First 7 Days

YES LET'S!!! Day three and my mood has truly lifted. Felt super happy this morning at work. What I realise after all these years is that it is not even the night before and the horrors that occur that are the demon I am fighting, but the overall effect that alcohol has on me. I am always tired. I f...
