Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

DD, <:)> i understand from experience how hard it is to ask for help, but Boris is right, you should call on the people from the church, as difficult as asking for help must be for you. When I posted on here about being in hospital someone very kindly said that they hoped I had support whilst I reco...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Sheila, as you say, it is what it is. Perhaps on a visit you coud read to her? As you say, she's not listening, but it may help your sister and yourself to focus on something else. Sheila that sounds like a great idea from DD, and hopefully it'll take a bit of the stress away from wondering what on...

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Just jumping in here with regards to the Horizon programme on personality. There is a website where you can recreate the same eight week task they gave to Michael Mosley, worth doing I think. Will be very interesting if my optimism is increased after eight weeks. http://www.rainybrainsunnybrain.com/...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Sheila, <:)> <:)> <:)> how awful for all of you. I can understand you wanting to stay away, I would want to run away from it all, but I think you would feel awful in the long term.I have no wise words like Dave, but sending more <:)>

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hi TC \:)/ thanks for filling me in on CJ, missed that one. It's too hot for me too. Managed about 5 minutes in the garden and back indoors. Prefer it to the winter though. My eldest dd is meant to be walking home from school today and has texted asking for a lift as it's so hot. If I can't bare 5 m...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Morning everyone \:)/ Thank you for all your lovely supportive posts. I am feeling a bit brighter, helped along by the weather. My busy time at work is over so taking a few days to relax and catch up with bits of housework and gardening. I'm drinking litres of juice and smoothies and found the most ...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around, I have been logging on intermittently and having a quick read. I have not been well, although "not well" probably doesn't cover it! I started feeling ill a few weeks ago, kind of like the after effects of flu, then nausea, then sickness. I was booked in for ...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Morning everyone Thank you for all your lovely messages of support. <:)> <:)> back to all of you. Lils, your comment on OE offering to buy your yurts made me start crying, because it was such a lovely thing to do. Sorry to make you cry Pixie! But very sweet of you, shows what a caring person you are...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Evening all. I had my scan result today and it was the best possible news in the circumstances in that there is no change, the lesion is the same size and no new ones. The downside is that still no idea about the future, my symptoms are still here. I'll have another one in 6 months time, so I guess ...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Ooohh, Pineapple is here \:)/ so lovely to see you and see that you are doing so well. Jos, <:)> I personally would drag his arse in to a room, lock the doors and shout very loudly every single thing that has been p'ing me off.....then feel bad and apologise. So you see my tactics are probably not t...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Well I have taken another butt kicking from OE. Jos, you really shouldn't encourage her! Firstly, so glad to see you here Jos, and I hope you can work things out. CJ, I think kids love for their parents is so unconditional that they often see us with rose tinted glasses, are protective of us and pos...

Re: KEEPING IN TOUCH ON THE FORUM

Jos, very sad news for so many of us, you have been a Sister and a Mother figure roled in to one for many people. You need to do what is best for YOU, but I echo OE, if you need support I'm sure every single person on here will be more than happy to pay back a little of what you have given. <:)> <:)>

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Oh MC that really is terrible. I agree with Chris, if you are in a position to get mad at her, with no backlash to your sis, get mad at her. My youngest is 10 and to expect her to pick a funeral outfit, let alone iron it is, is quite frankly appalling. Your step mum sounds like a selfish lady, very ...

Re: Stomach Complaints

This is pretty grim but I end up doing such large poos that it is incredibly painful. I almost fainted last night when I stopped at the services near Carlisle to pass a poo that must have been 5 inches in diameter but only four inches long. I know I have so much more to pass after not going for the...

Re: Liver Disease and Tests

Hi Chick, I too am going through an immune disorder at the moment and constantly worry that my weaker organs are going to be attacked (ie my liver). I won't go over my health problems again but if you read back on my posts there's more of an explanation. What has been made very clear to me is that t...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hello, I am here \:)/ \:)/ . Sorry Jos, I know I do have an awful bad habit of seeming to disappear. I've got the next MRI next week so won't find out until probably the week after that. I'm trying my hardest not to put my life on hold at the moment and continue as if nothing is happening. It's hard...
