Re: The To Do List

Ten weeks. Yay! That's fantastic! Well done. Could you send a bit of your nice weather here? It's dull dull dull. Very still, though, which is good, as I don't like the wind. I was still awake at 5am this morning so no plans really for today. I just ended up explaining my mental health (not alcohol ...

Re: The To Do List

Good to think outisde the box, Action. They didn't want my charger. But it still flickers when it's not plugged in. Other out of the box considrations included the fact hata I use it on my lap and not on a desk. They were supposed to call me back today but of course haven't. Clearly the news is not ...

Re: The To Do List

They remade The Secret Life of Walter Mitty ?! I am pretty sure they didn't have that sort of language in the original! (Danny Kaye) :) Pickles is you MIL home now? Sorry she is so down and unwell. Long Covid sounds awful. I have a friend who has it - chest pain and breathlessness still 8 months aft...

Re: The To Do List

Danny we have a load of designers and a lot of very creative people who will take this seriously. They got our 'paper engineer' to supply two patterns - one that require a scalpel (the better one) and one for those among us who don't happen to own a scalpel and cutting board. (I do own a cutting boa...

Re: The To Do List

Morning. I hope people are ok, or as ok as possible. Luna <:)> I am feeling the brush of ageism amongst young colleagues too. After all, I am not much younger than some of their mothers and children are often disparaging of their mothers ;). The young ones are not outright disrespectful, but I know ...

Re: The To Do List

Evening. Working in the little computer room upstairs today. Not so bad, except no office chair so instant backache. Something to try to get, even if I am back working on the settee, after lockdown ends if the shops open round here. (I imagine if here is in zone 3, so will Ikea in Croydon be...other...

Re: The To Do List

I bought the dryer at least ten years ago, Danny... Wouldn't be without it. I vould like without my tumble dryer, on the other hand. As I said there are cheaper ones, but not sure how good. Anway I shall stop evangelizing about them now :) I am now waiting for someone to come and pick up my laptop f...

Re: The To Do List

I dry my clothes on a heated drying rack, and also have a dehumidifier. If you put them both in a small room, clothes dry quite quickly. Very useful when it's in that inbetween period - too damp to dy outside but not cold enough for central heating. Duvet covers don't dry well in a dryer anyway. The...

This is not just tiredness but mood. re throwing things away, I have two problems 1) er getting rid of things. 2) how to dispense with them. When it's clothes I end up going dow the 'Well I paid q...

Re: The To Do List

It was fine. Too many people came though so some had to sit outside. The 'wake' was awkward as you couldn't mingle. It was hard not to feel we were derelict in our duty, even though it couldn't be helped. Just got home - 5.5 hour drive back. Very tired. I might stick 'tidy bedroom' on my to do list ...

Re: The To Do List

Action I am glad you are ok. Was worried about you. Maybe it would be for the best - if the painful best, on several fronts - if the doctor did cotton on to it, although not sure what they would do. Hopefully not just withdraw the prescription. But trying to keep him restrained is clearly not changi...

Re: The To Do List

Many <:)> to all, including your doggy, PIckles. Luna, I am sorry you are not sleeping. I've not had more than 5 hours a night for about ten days. It's wretched. At least 2am warm milk seems to work for me. Action how are you today? Danny, is your work planning to/can they open for the panto season?...

She vists her 92 year old (even more difficult than mine ;) ) mother most days, and is avoiding contact with others. ...

Re: The To Do List

As you know, Luna, my house is hideously cluttered too, and the source of many arguments as it’s all mine, apparently ;) But my clutter (tendency inherited from father, but my motehr isn't exactly minimalist etiher)… Well I’d hate to live in a pristine, clear house, I think... And I know my husband ...

Re: The To Do List

30 people are allowed at the funeral. 15 at the thing after, but I don't think we will make up numbers in either case. Danny, I could not possibly, and do not want to not go to the funeral. I am very upset my mother in law has gone. We may not have been the best of friends but she was an important p...
