Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Is it good or bad that I didn't realise today was my third anniversary until I got lovely PMs from Pickles and Jos? I'd say that's good :D Thank you for the congratulations TC, Sandy, Sheila, Jos and Pickles. I shower you with huggles <:)> <:)> <:)> <:)> <:)> and a happy dance \:)/ Life is pretty he...

Re: Animal Companions (aka Pets)

Another NO vote for Bakers from me! If your dog has behaviour problems and you take it to see a behaviourist the first question they'll ask is what you are feeding! Food is hugely important. I feed the best food I can afford and often I can't afford it but it is better spent on food than on Vet's bi...

Re: Cooking: good food tips, links & ingredients

Any ideas for cooking rabbit? My Sister and her OH, who shot the rabbits, are ringing some with them this weekend. I've only ever stewed them before.

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Been poorly all day :( Initially thought I was poorly because I forgot my medication before bed but if I take a half dose when I get up the painful head and sickness usually passes within a couple of hours but that didn't work today. So I haven't been to work and I only ate two bowls of fruit and fi...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Didn't have a good day yesterday, was out most of the day so just ate sandwiches and chocolate :? I did a couple of hours gardening when I got home but not enough to burn off what I ate, plenty walking at work too.

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Morning! I didn't do too well yesterday, ate about 2,000 calories :( I'm afraid I indulged in a Kitkat Chunky and a couple of chocolate biscuits. Then cooked a pack of Chipolatas that needed to be cooked, only had four but boy they have quite a few calories and tasted so salty. In fact I had a small...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Morning all, No change in weight for me this week, so 9 st 12.5 lbs. Can't really have expected any more after just 2 good days lol. I have my Sister coming to stay for a long weekend on Friday so I need to be very good this week to make up for any upcoming overindulgence! Great to see you back Mari...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Morning all, I managed a pretty good day yesterday even though I was feeling really shattered! Calorie intake was about 1,200. I didn't do ny exercise to speak of either really, just pottered about in the garden in between heavy showers. I ate the following: Fruit and fibre with semi skimmed milk. 4...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Funny you should say that Andy, up until 4 years ago I had a lovely bow, even had a quiver :? , but I sold it when it looked like I'd be in my flat for a few more years. At that point I hadn't used it for 6 years as I'd had no outside space to use it!

Hi Pickles <:)>

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Danny I knew someone who taught themselves to swim by watching a 'Learn to Swim' DVD, I kid you not. Went from zero experience to doing triathlons in a very short period of time. I love swimming but my technique is rubbish!

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

I too am looking forward to winter Andy! I replaced my old, and rather knackered stove this spring and am so looking forward to seeing how my new super dooper one works. The odd occasion when I've had the stove going since installed have been fab! I have two log stores, one small one that holds arou...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

I had the following yesterday: Fruit and fibre with semi skimmed milk Costa latte New York Bagel (pastrami, cheese, pickles, mustard, yum!) Latte Magnum 4 slices (70 ca...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Not sure Sandy. Going to give myself today not to worry about it as I am already meeting a friend for lunch at a favourite coffee shop and then I am planning my weekend meals and exercise and will hopefully stick to it, haven't got much on other than lure coursing, maybe, on Sunday. Will just have t...

Re: Animal Companions (aka Pets)

Can you put a blanket or something over his crate so that he feels enclosed, Finley? Might help him feel secure. Sugden is fine thanks Sheila & Nic <:)> Docking was routine until the law changed Nic and now it is not considered a routine thing to do. Shame you weren't told by the breeder but I guess...

Re: Animal Companions (aka Pets)

It's banned in it's entirety north of the border and to be honest I didn't realise that the breeder only needed to prove that some of the litter might be used for working purposes in order for the entire litter to be docked. There is no need for a companion animal's tail to be docked.
