Re: We are both big drinkers

This sounds really bad, but I think my husband and I got married because of the one thing we had in common - booze. I was drunk on vodca during the ceremony. Our first night married we got in a big fight. Still we have been married almost 7 years w/no kids. He lives his life, I live his - we are try...

Re: husband being nasty

Not sure about the law where you live, but in the U.S. drinking to excess is a violation of probation - so I would be on the phone 24/7 with that PO if need be - any man who talks to a woman "much less someone he say's he loves" has absolutely no respect for himself. He is so insecure that the only ...

Re: Triggers: how do you cope with them?

I practically live alone... I have a husband who - when not working chooses to spend his time up at his friends house or spends the days golfing. I lost my job and have had several medical issues which limit what I can do. Funny I found this thread because I have been trying to figure mine so far: P...

Re: Breaking AA Confidentiality

I recently started going back to AA - I know how important it is to find the right group for you - so try different meetings at different times all w/a different group of folks. You may or may not find the commrodary (sp?) that you are looking for - but then again - you may miss out on forming some ...

Re: how much did you drink......

I drank everyday - sometimes all day, sometimes a few if I had a planned event so I would not have a hangover over or the shakes. I have been drinking since the age of 17 and am now 46 yrs. old female. I tried to go into outpatient programs, detoxed in hospital for both alcohol and pain pills, and s...

Re: My wife's drinking...

I am a wife who lives w/my husband in a secluded area on a mtn. I have lost most of my jobs due to my drinking and became severely depressed. My life consisted of sitting around all day drinking and watching TV and writing ridiculous things on FB. I as well suffered from vomiting from time to time a...

Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

I am returning after about 4 years and missed this very much. I posted on another thread but in short I just suffered and agonizing Acute Pancreatist Attack that made me wish someone would just kill me. After my hospital stay I have been told if I drink again I could die - so choice was made for me....

Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

Hi Everyone, It has been about 4 years since I have been to this sight and I cannot believe how it has grown. Very Impressive and am so happy you are still here. I was going through a bad time w/drinking and pain medication - both of which I detox'ed from in the hospital. I beat the pain med addicti...
