Re: 2011 "Let's do it Sober" Challenge

I havent posted on here for a while. Michelle <:)> Fab news about your blood results. Was a bit worrying reading about your friends who had slipped and who you were helping - I think you managed them really well. I totally agree with your alochol advisor - steer clear now. You have to be selfish in ...

Re: The Road to Abstinence

Hi Niel I hate it when I slip. I hate the feeling of starting again which I normally have, the wondering if I will ever 'get it' etc etc. I think we all feel aspects of that. But these days I am grateful for the slips of the past. Everytime I learned a little more - or what I had previously learned ...

Re: Two Week Challenge

Hi kit I do AA too and a good few others here so please dont worry. I dont go much now but in he early days following my last lapse it really helped me get back on track. What ever works is the big philosophy on here. Two things I picked out of it and believe in - 'one day at a time' and gratitudes....

Re: Studying?

You have all my sympathy <:)> Just got mine in recently and was so pleased to see the back of it. Mine was a bit of a dry subject also - leadership and management of change. Boring. I know these are important for us but I think some subjects just inspire more interest than others. Hope you got enoug...

Re: NOTICE BOARD

Can anyone tell me what 'private message filters' are? I have had several messages and when I try to read I get a message saying 'this message has been removed - private message filters'.

Is it because there is foul language etc ?

Thanks
Julie

Re: SOS - Post here if you need help (NO GENERAL CHAT PLEASE

Hello Todolist You sound ina very dark place <:)> <:)> You must let your team know how badly you are feeling when you see them. Your drug and alcohol team are not just there to tell you to stop, They understand its not just that easy otherwide teams like them would have no need to exsist. Do you hav...

Re: The Three Month Challenge.

. I think this is quite a risky point on the journey ... initial enthusiasm is wearing a bit thin and now comes the time when we start actually putting in the building blocks for living a sober life. Not easy but do-able. xx Jos Agree Jos - there are lots of risky times for lots of reasons. When we...

Re: The Road to Abstinence

Gosh Joanne the driving experience sounded terrible. Panic attacks are no joke nor is anxiety. Its such a common theme in people drinking and when new people post about needing to drink because of anxiety issues, I often wonder how many really understand just how the majority of it is all down to th...

 Sandy I am so glad to hear I am not alone. Hi Zoe <:)> Rarely have I read a post so full of pain. Sunworshipper is right. Unless your father wants to do this for himself no one can help. I would however, suggest you direct him to this site and let him read what you posted. Or print out your post and give it too him. Alcoholics, when drinking...
