Re: Mostly Sober

Love being a gran'ma, but they live too far away for baby sitting. And yes. It's exhausting.
Are you still flying arrows Finley?

Sorry AJH. Didn't mean to ignore you

Re: The To Do List

Luna my nephew stole from my sister and his sister for years. Mostly from his mum. My sister had the box of family silver cutlery. It's gone. She started locking her bedroom when she was out. Eventually she found the shop where he was flogging the stuff and got some back - some of it she hadn't miss...

Re: The To Do List

Morning Learning to live with asthma. I just have to remember to take inhalers with me. Me an' a girlfriend have been out and about seeing live theatre. Last night was a very intimate little show: the quartets. I think it was mostly lost on us. Next Monday we're hitting big and going to see South Pa...

Re: The To Do List

Work was. Ok. Line manager asked how I was(with a remarkable lack of interest), and said if I didn't feel well I shouldn't have come in. The work shift I had was not too onerous. And the roads were empty for driving home. I need to stay at work for a while, to get some finance behind me, having run ...

Re: The To Do List

Cross posting. Sorry to read about Basil. Back to the vet?

If husband can start the mower for you, could you cut the grass? Maybe time to invest in a smaller, lighter mower?

If it stays dry, I might cut the lawn.

Or I might not.

Re: The To Do List

Morning I hope Basil is on the mend Rachel. It's a worry when animal friends are sick. Action do you still have your brother and partner staying? You may need to banish them both for a couple of days, to get some space back. Back to work today. I've been signed off since leaving hospital last Sunday...

Re: The To Do List

Thanks Rachel. I hadn't really looked at it from her point of view. Perhaps it needs more discussion. I don't want her to rush up to 'look after" me (when I'm taken into hospital, where I was looked after perfectly well), but it was lovely to have her to lean on. I didn't mind her rifling through my...

Re: The To Do List

Morning That's such a lovely higgely piggely wild flower arrangement. Looks really pretty. I went charity shopping for a vase for my neighbour. Found one which I love so much I've kept it. It's full of alstroemerias at the moment. Action I hope you can get away on your own. After endless days in a h...

Morning

I'm still feeling very feeble and floppy by the end of the day.

To do
Take pills. Think I'm down to 10.
Hang out washing
Load van because I've a 10am booking at the tip.
Plan something for meals. Perhaps get some fish and make kedgeree. Or a fish pie. Or both.

Flying in. Cowboy I totally understand what you mean. BE doesn't hit the spot for me either at the moment. But BE is only the members that frequent the space. Re: The To Do List

Morning Rachel, despite the fact you think 'they' have the wrong person, I would still self isolate. It's a work-from-home card, when employers want everyone to start coming back to work stations. Rain, rain and more rain. The air is much fresher for it. To do Take old garden bench to local Men's Sh...

Re: The To Do List

Thank you everyone. Feeling limp lettuce, but not green, so baby steps. Dahlias: slugs love them, they don't like being water logged, they attract ear wigs (shake cut flowers upside down gently to dislodge the critters). Mostly trouble free once they're happy. I've had a wander around the garden. Th...

Re: The To Do List

And I'm home. In my own bed. And planning to sleep. That ward was pretty toxic. I'm thinking of writing about 'my emergency visit to hospital.' If you weren't feeling well, had dialled 111, who told you they were sending an ambulance - what would your skewered brain think to pack before the ambulanc...

Re: The To Do List

Strolling in slowly. Sorry folks. I woke up last Tuesday at 5am, struggling to breath. I've been in hospital ever since. Chronic asthma. Which explains all my wheezing/breathing problems since the last year. I'm still in, but much better. Sharing the ward with some lovely patients and a couple of re...

Re: The To Do List

Morning Hello everyone. I'm feeling very 'curled up in a ball'. I've read all the posts, but don't have the energy to respond. Sorry. Yesterday. Back at work. Very, very apprehensive. It was ok. Relief was palpable. Today start new volunteering job. It's on a steam ship, so if I don't like it, I hav...
