Re: 2011 "Let's do it Sober" Challenge

Yeah, Mikey, this is a busy time of year for BE so I made the decision to be around a bit more.
Fortunately, everyone is on good behavior (::) so not taxing in the mod squad overmuch.
Come Monday I have to get back to the real world.

Pip, you've got a foothold now . . . no holding you back. ;)?

Re: 2011 "Let's do it Sober" Challenge

I'd like to be 60 when the list gets to 59 . . .how about it?
Tony, I love the movie The 39 Steps, the old version, with Robert Donat, not the new one.

Get lots of fluid into yourself , , , some soup or broth, mebbe? Try to eat, too. If you hop over to SOS you will get lots of support as there will be many good fol...

Re: Personal Journals/Drinking Stories

This thread has sunk a bit low so I am bumping it up.
It's a great place to share a bit of your story. Good reading too.
If your goes on a bit, you might want to save and paste in so you don't suffer angst from a disappearing post as occasionally happens (especially so it seems with the long ones).

Re: Just want to share.

Have you shared with your wife how you feel about this? Could you tell her that you need a break from these weekends so you can focus on not drinking for...

Re: NEW MEMBERS - Please Introduce Yourself (on the last pag

Sober in Mind, welcome to BE! Sounds you are really in the searching mode. Peace of mind can be elusive, I hanker after that too. You might want to consider jumping into the Road to Abstinence Thread, where we talk about these sorts of things. It is a road, not a destination - as often said. It's go...

Re: General Support and Chat

Snowina, I'm no expert but I would hazard a guess that what you are doing is very dangerous. I assume you want to get a handle on your drinking, and I think that would be an obvious place to start untangling this dangerous mix. You might want to introduce yourself on the New Members thread, but folk...
