Re: The 4 Week Challenge

blueberry,
thanks for the words of support, I always need to hear that it gets better, sounds more convincing coming from someone who is further down the path :) . had a bath for an hour and a half which filled the time till the shop closed, will be better when the weekend is over.

Re: The 4 Week Challenge

thankyou chicken i think this last week, despite feeling a bit down, has been quite easy for me to remain alcohol free, i'd actually been remembering the first week and realising how much easier it had got so this craving ( feels like a tight knot in my stomach) took me by surprise.. I'm gonna have ...

Re: Three Week Challenge

Chicken yeay, you did it alcohol free and had a good time! agree with sheila, it is in no way a little thing, that first social event with alcohol is MASSIVE and you did it \:)/ \:)/ \:)/ I think that is a real big hurdle leaped for you and next time hopefully won't be so stressful in the run up. I ...

Re: The 4 Week Challenge

Re: The 4 Week Challenge

John I'm sure you are further ahead than you think, i thought you were 2 days ahead of me and I'm at 4 weeks on sunday, keep losing track of where i am too , if i hadn't put last drink date down i'd have no idea. It's surely a good sign we are losing track of what day we are at, means we aint obsess...

Re: Three Week Challenge

We both headed over to the 3 week room to post to chicken, who is in the 3 week room, but now looking ...

Re: Three Week Challenge

Re: The 4 Week Challenge

john totally understand about time dragging but the days rushing by, it's weird, sometimes a couple of hours can feel like a day but a week goes by in a blink. The long term sober people all say it's worth it, and I know if I can continue sober it will be worth it .. we will look back and think, phe...

Re: The 4 Week Challenge

I guess we just keep trying to stay sober or go back and enter chaos (which will probably just get worse and worse). Not much of a choice really. yes digger, with few benefits of sobriety really showing yet i think focusing on the alternative ( the horror of that damn chaos) is the way to go. Today...

Re: The 4 Week Challenge

hi kent, wow , first time in 20 years you have got this far, that's quite an achievement (::) I also have found it tough, some people seem to be feeling happy and healthier after a week, some of us seem to have a longer haul before the good stuff kicks in. ;)? John, that was really amazing you turne...
