hi whites, i think the sleep thing may be sorting itself out, still having trouble getting to sleep but am managing to get a good sleep in once i finally drop off. cut down caffeine which is a bummer as i love coffee but found since cutting down it has also stopped the almost constant mild headache ...

ive done it, actually crying, not from letting it go i think, from the effort, oh god i feel emotional, i'm gonna go curl up in bed, will come thank you guys tomorrow, tonight i'm thinking... damn you guys why didnt you just tell me one more night drinking wouldnt be a biggie! feeling a bit overwhel...

right, so overwhelmingly the message is pour it away? ... oh wow i really struggle doing that... what if after i've poured it away i panic and need to go buy some? i'm so scared of pouring it all away... i don't even want to drink it at this point but... i'm scared of how i will feel after i've done...

;not sure where to post this... here goes... okay.. well i split up with my bf about 6 months ago, i didn't want to but felt it was the only way i had a chance... it was a co-dependent, issue ridden, mess of a relationship, we both drank, we both had mental health issues, but it really messed me up ...

gonna try cutting down the caffeine first, someone has suggested it and i do drink bucket loads of coffee, it's never effected me before but i've never been sober so long before so i may have become more sensitive to it.
oh i really hope it works, i love my coffee

thanks for the reply cj, well i borrowed my friends dog tonight and took it for a two hour walk so hopefully that will help.... errr about the caffeine... i've always drank loads and loads of coffee and it's never effected me, is it possible that it could start effecting me because i've given up alc...

wheat , yeah, ive gone to bed at 10pm before and at 6am am still awake and think i might as well get up now as i have to get up at 8 anyway. ive also tried herbal teas specially designed to make you sleep... no help. was really hoping someone would come on and say 'hey, at 3 weeks it magically gets...

maypole, you still have that potential... you really do. "I justfeelutterly bereft, ashamed, afraid, alone and pessimistic simultaneously"... i think a lot of people can recognise these feelings . alcohol seems to help in the short term.. blocks it all out, numbs you etc but in the long run it leads...
