Re: Two Week Challenge

Hi Alice. Hope things well with you. I had a day off work today and went shopping in the nearby city. Very hot weather today and was having a great time until I passed a restaurant and saw some people sitting outside and one had a lovely large glass of chilled white wine. Oh I could have grabbed it ...

Re: Two Week Challenge

Arcturus - now you make me wish I'd thought of a more intellectual name for myself. Ah well, I was so eager to register.
Wystan - Hi and well done for the start of the non tobacco life (::)

Re: Two Week Challenge

*lol* Freedom. I rather liked the tone. Btw I envy you the turquoise sea !!! Rather dull and chilly here this morning and I'm in the office. The evening was OK in the end and I kept busy - and refrained from having the wine thank goodness. Re Arcturus. I see he's interested in science fiction and fa...

Re: Two Week Challenge

Glad to hear you managed to have a rest Alice. I've had one of those days at work and probably got over tired, resulting in me feeling edgy and a bit panicky :( Could really do with a nice glass of white wine but I'm on here instead and then I shall go and find something to do to occupy my mind unti...

Re: Two Week Challenge

Alice - great to see you've arrived \:)/ Reading in the early hours is a good idea. It's lovely and quiet and, if you've got some enthralling books, it keeps your mind occupied. Take care. <:)> OK Arcturus - you're a clever boy (and naughty *does* sound nicer than murkier). ;) I'm still wondering wh...

Re: Two Week Challenge

The second week of sobriety seems to bring out the murkier side of us - all this double entendre-ing (KK trying to look disapproving and failing miserably ;) )
LBNS - well done! You're showing such strength despite everything. Keep at it <:)>

Re: Two Week Challenge

Congratulations for moving on Bruce - I've just arrived :) Had a pleasant day yesterday but - sod's law - went to a local village fete and won two bottles of booze in a raffle!!! I immediately thought "That'll be nice tonight, sitting in the garden and having a few drinks" Then my mantra kicked in a...

Lilou, We haven't spoken so far but I've been reading posts. Just wanted to say Well done for holding on today despite everything. You've done so well!!!!!! Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

Sorry if my posts are disjointed. It's such a relief to find a place like this. I'd never really thought i had a problem until a few years ago. Yes, I enjoyed a drink (or three) when I went out but the worst I ever got was silly and affectionate. About 5 years ago I realised that I was waking up in ...

Re: The First 7 Days

Hi I've been lurking for a few days but now got around to registering (thanks for help Tobin). This is my 5th day and my only real problem is that of stress. However, I feel much better having read so many of your posts and hope that I can manage this. I've tried cutting down in the past but it's ne...
