Tom - you know you're not alone! I know we're not the same as having someone there in person but you know we're with you all the way. Keep posting and remember how bad you'll feel if you give in. You've done so well this last week and you know that your friend wouldn't want you to go down the same r...

Re: What Has Made You Happy/Angry/Sad Today?

Saraloo - you've had a bad few days feeling under the weather physically and mentally. Today is another day and the sun's shining - you can do it. There's often a stumble or two at the beginning but I've been reading your earlier posts and you are so capable. Good luck for today and the ones to come...

I thought about AA at one time but chickened out. I'm not very good in (physical) groups of people all confessing faults etc. KK

Re: The Six Month Challenge

Annoyingly I had a really grotty day- wanted to shout at people and say " don't you know who I am? I'm CJ and I'm 4 months AF. Poor CJ! I knw what you mean. I had a couple of really rotten days at work this week and I wanted to shout that I only had to get to Saturday and I would be 3 months AF so ...

Well done CJ \:)/ \:)/ \:)/ \:)/ \:)/ \:)/
Not only have you got to a milestone but you resisted the temptation to open a bottle after a bad day at work. Sounds like your head's all organised.
Really pleased for you <:)> KK

Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

"Normal"? "Normal"? Oh dear - does that mean I have to act properly etc *extremely worried look* Seriously, I just want to emphasise what the others have said. This is a great place to have arrived. Everyone understands what you're going through, nobody will judge you and they will all support you a...

Re: New Members - Please Introduce Yourself Here

I dont feel like I'm on my own anymore with this problem and I really feel confident at the moment. I am a bit worried about social situations that will come up, especially towards Christmas but as a few of you have said, take one day at a time xx ;) Isn't that the best bit? No one's ever on their ...

Re: The First 7 Days

I've never noticed people on the TV or on the street or in my normal day-to-day life talking about alcohol before but I guess my senses are heightened. I must've heard mention of it about 50 times today. Weird isn't it? Just like the day you decide to go on a diet and all you see is people eating c...

Re: SOS - Post here if you need help (No General Chat Please

I used to do this, time and again, putting Women on pedestals. Never again. We don't need putting on a pedestal as that's our natural position ;) Seriously though, best thing is for Space to give her just that - some space to get some peace while he concentrates on himself. Just concentrate on the ...

Re: Well and truly ruined my marriage

It was the 'going ballistic' over Space getting a bedsit specifically that she has no right to do I wonder what "going ballistic" actually meant. I think if my late husband had done that I'd have felt a dreadful mix of relief, guilt for the relief and extreme worry about what condition he might get...
