Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hi people, Oh, Pineapple, my head aches in sympathy at the thought of running with a hangover. I could just about stagger the 100 yards (don't do metric) up the road for fresh supplies with one of mine. Amazing how quickly the old body recovers though. In days, I was able to get a few miles easily a...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Is it me? I've done hardly anything all day and I feel more shattered than I did yesterday climbing up Box Hill? Got a bit of colour now so I don't look quite so pasty. Hi Mai, you are so right. The rest of the population have not idea what it's like. They think we just stop drinking and that's the ...

Hey Nico, may I suggest you deal with one thing at a time and not a bumper bundle? It's a lot easier on yourself that way. Can you not get a fresh supply of Valium from your Doc. for some reason?

Re: The Two Month Challenge

Some great posts on here. I used to think that all I had to do was stop drinking. Non problem drinkers think the same (my own mother doesn't even know I still struggle with it some days). If that were true, a drink problem wouldn't exist in the 1st place would it? The fact is, we have to learn to li...

Just a quickie to say hi to Boris (well done on avoiding the beer gardens), hello to anyone else lurking and all the best to Winker. Up bright and early to get everything done before pootling off for lunch with the girls and the blooming sun's gone in now  . Have a nice day/evening all. TC <:)>

Re: The First 7 Days

Morning Sadbinga, Welcome to the First 7 days. I'm not officially on this thread, but seem to be one of the few people up and about at the moment so I'd like to welcome you. Someone should be along shortly and, in the meantime, make yourself at home and have a good look round. We're a friendly lot. ...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Hi Sheila, do you know about the topsy turvy man buried upside down at the top of Box Hill? He thought the world was upside down and wanted to be interred that way so it would look the right way up in the afterlife  You're rightly proud of you son - dressing as a strawberry takes a LOT of guts...
