Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

I think I'm just stuck in that weight gain cycle and am comfort eating as a result. Not going to worry about it this weekend but I want to get started on a new plan on Monday morning that includes calorie restriction and some proper exercise. I bumped into one of my neighbours last night and she was...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

I am in a horrible binge cycle at the moment and have woken up feeling FAT and FED UP! This means I have, yet again, eaten like a piggy wiggy. I joke but am deadly serious, things have got to change. My weight is just creep creep creeping upwards, my clothes are tight, my bingo wings wobble, I'm bac...

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

That's great news Maddie! If I were you I would make it clear in your resignation letter that you health deteriorated because of the behaviour of your Boss, they shouldn't be allowed to treat people that way. Are there any benefits or income support you would be entitled to between now and September?

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

You have a few more than me Nic. I have Rosemary, Oregano, Thyme, Chives, Sage and Parsley. The casserole is literally a couple of sausages browned in a pan, then a couple of rashers streaky bacon cooked till crispy in the same pan, then add finely chopped onion to soften, couple of handfuls of puy ...

Re: Gardening - Herbs, Roots, Veggies, Flowers & More

It's funny isn't it but I don't mind the house being a little untidy but not my garden!! I have little wild areas where I let the grasses and weeds grow (such as along the fence, in my hedging and around the shed) and I have plenty of wildflowers in my borders. I had a fab show from Red Campion earl...

Re: Darcy's Fitness and Weight Management Club

Pretty much spot on Sandy :D They've recommended that I stay on this dose of meds for 2-3 years before I even think of reducing the dose which is a bit of a bind because of the constipation it causes but I am managing that with my GP, I'm not regular by any stretch of the imagination but no longer f...

Had a busy weekend what with gardening, a BBQ with all my neighbours and lure coursing on Sunday. Ate tons at the BBQ, tried to stick mostly to salads and the fish they BBQ'd but I did ...

Re: Depression, Bipolar and Other Personality Issues.

Maddie, glad to hear you're seeing your GP today. Don't stress about your Boss, she will cope! It is she that is making you feel this way, or worse than you would have been, anyway. You are putting yourself first and that is great. If she is the sort of Boss that makes you feel bad for having some m...

Good to hear from you Nic, glad you're giving sobriety another go, even if that is just until your 40th, it still counts! We're very similar in age :) I have been getting the BBC Food emails but haven't really looked at them! Maybe I should for some inspiration as your menu today sounds lovely and h...

Re: Beyond the 1 Year Milestone

Well done on the drink front with the visiting in laws Pickles. I remember back in my drinking days having my Grandparents stay for the weekend. Offered everyone an orange juice midmorning but mine was 50:50 vodka. No reason why as I love my Grandparents, I was roasting a chicken for lunch and it wa...
