Hi all

I was a member of BE for many years; hopefully some of you may remember me. On Monday I passed the two-year mark of not drinking, which is good news.

I have since spent quite a bit of time with photography since getting sober, and am getting interested in photodocumentary. I'd really like to do a series close to my heart, on booze and boozers. If anyone is willing, at any stage of recovery, to have their portrait taken then please PM me. The kind of thing I'm thinking is "This is what a heavy drinker looks like..." - to explode the stigma around overuse of alcohol.

There's no commercial gain out of this, just a passion project.

Understand that many will not be interested because there *is* stigma around this subject, but I'd love to hear from you if you are.

Jennie

I'll pass on the photo-op, thanks, because I'm ugly sober or otherwise

THE 2020 CHALLENGE

I'm now allocating numbers for members wishing to take part in the 2020 Challenge. The idea is that you remain alcohol free for the whole year. This is, of course, a tough one, but it can be done and lots do achieve it. No harm in giving it a go is there?

A lot of members like to retain their numbers from one year to the next, but this is not done automatically. If you are taking part in the current challenge and wish to keep the same number, please request it EARLY so as to avoid disappointment. In order to keep things simple (my brain is getting very old), numbers have to be given on a First Come/First Served basis.

Please request your number on the 2019 Challenge Thread so as to leave this thread open for other business.

Thanks. TC xx
