Hello all!
We normal Yanks are feeling a tiny bit of hope, so we can climb out of the valley of uncertainty and fear and depression!
We are in a heap of trouble with COVID, job loss, hunger, home precariousness, but it is time to rise! I know the whole world is in a peck of trouble, so we all have to join hands and forge on!
Glad to see you all, thanks for the
Tro, and I hope to hang around a bit more!
So glad to see Snoopy, AKA Linda is back, too!
Marvelous, just marvelous, darlings, to see you all! Stay well and stay safe!

Deanna! it's so nice to see you. I thought of you a lot during the election craziness, as I shared your frustration with the orange menace. But things worked out!
Glad you are well.

Re: KEEPING IN TOUCH ON THE FORUM
I’m not sure where to post this, but I felt I should – It’s what has bought me back to Bright Eye….
Earlier this year I was hospitalised with cirrhosis and was so ill (God how hard is that to say, admit…or even type) Music, my dog and my garden have been my absolute salvation since leaving hospital – I thought at times I would never be able to stand and sing again (or walk with my beautiful dog – that thought has broken my heart so many times) - I suppose I just wanted to say this horrible addiction we share can be beaten - find the things you love be it family, friends, your animals, the world around you , the singing birds, lord just the weather and the pouring rain at times….This has come about because a neighbour has this evening asked me to sing a song with his band and now I know fear! I truly never thought would get back here. Just grateful I suppose. Thanks If anyone reads this……and apologies if mods think it should be somewhere else, please move it to somewhere more appropriate

Hi missychief
Welcome back and I'm so sorry to hear about your hospitalization. Your name sounds very familiar to me, and I think I remember you from a few years back.
It sounds as though you are doing better, and I hope that's the case. Best of luck on the performance with your neighbor, and I Iook forward to seeing you around BE.

Re: KEEPING IN TOUCH ON THE FORUM
Hi Trina Think I remember you too…
I’ve found my vocal strength has returned 7months down the line - think me yelling (no sorry -singing) in the garden scared neighbour (and the blackbirds!) forgotten I even had that -used to be a front line chorister in the wayback and getting some of that back is quietly amazing to me. Have a seriously bossy GP who kicks butt and brooks no nonsense but she is a real support and all looks very good. I’ve been very lucky to have got so far down but come back - belive me I know this... This has not been easy – I don’t quite how to put this into words, but I so hope that no one else here goes through this, I really don’t. The brilliant NHS docs at hosp Royal Cornwall (yup gonna name them
) tell me not all do recover and they were concerned for me.
Still, I’m a sober, healthy if sleepless gal right now and very, very grateful .......

Scary what you went through Missy but thank you for sharing and so glad you came out the other side
As has been pointed out (& I know from experience with a parent) it isn’t always good news or a recovered standard of health so this is fantastic to read and I hope you go from strength to strength and never look back....amazing
