Don't mind if I do, thanks, TC ;)? I was just about to carve the turkey, as it happens. How many slices would you like?

I haven't been in the lounge for a while. It's kind late and I haven't been sleeping real good lately. I am sober these days but that doesn't mean all is rosy but that's OK. The worst day sober is better than any day drunk or hungover. I still have many permission thoughts but I find that playing the tape forward to the morning after is really working for me. Of course coming on here helps as well. Actually, I think I may just mosey on over and check out that bowl of maltezers. Have a great evening loungers if any are looking in. Sleep well ... yawn.

<:)> to you, Cowboy, and thanks for the bucket, TC \:)/

And remember: No Maltesers in the hot tub ;)?

Was it Wolfie/Amarok who initiated that rule, or is it even older than that?

Thanks TC and JJ.

I am thinking Trojan came up with the malteser thing. Before he was Trojan. That particular avatar I can't remember. IHOP or something. The lounge used to be pretty active place for late nighters and folks in North America.

I'm thinking it was Wolfie who initiated that rule. I remember asking him what the reason was for the ban when I was a new member (and then bitterly regretting it when Wolfie told me the answer) ;)

Ahhh! It's all coming back to me. JJ you aren't the only one with memory lapses. It'a all good. Actually had a good nights sleep after all and feel refreshed and ready for a great day. I hope all loungers have a great day.

Malteasers look delicious!

I like that name for them much better than Malted Milk Balls, which is what they are called here! But in any old place, they are delicious!

The lounge is mighty cozy and full of good food as always!

Think I will pull up a recliner and enjoy some tea and chocolate!

Glad to see you all! <:)> ;)? <:)>

Malted Milk Balls is not an attractive or inspiring name, is it? Lacks a certain zing, somehow

I noticed yesterday that the supermarket I work in now sells Twinkies. Are they any good, Deanna? :) <:)>

So, it's the second of my three days off work and I've walked the dog but done almost nothing else at all. However, with the afternoon sky pregnant with snow clouds, what's a boy to do but curl up on the couch with a coffee and a book of crosswords?

Maybe I'll be more productive tomorrow. Maybe... :D

Oh yes, great idea! Curling up with crosswords or any kind of book! I have just gotten too attached to a device, too digital!

I miss the feel of a sharpened pencil scratching out a word on soft paper! You know that kind of slugged paper where the old No. 2 leaves a dark letter behind, then a word, then the whole interwoven bunch of words! I can almost smell the clean scent of cedar and the lethal look of the graphite point! Ah, yes, simple pleasures are the comforting part of life!

Mark, no, Twinkies are awful! I hate them! But other people love them, I guess! I have had no more than 2 in my life because I just could not swallow them! They are a sponge with cream filled center! All artificial vanilla taste, but incredible shelf life, probably due to the ubiquitous guar gum, an egg substitute, I think! My stomach is doing a heave Ho just thinking about Twinkies!

Sorry! But if they have those raspberry coconut rolls with a cream center, those are pretty good! Just as bad for you, but if you are going to build plaque in the arteries, at least those taste better! Here’s to lethal snacks that list 42 ingredients, sugar and guar gum up front!!!

Bon appetite!
