Hi I just wanted to post on here as I'm not wobbling with cravings but anxiety. Didn't want to be alone
I want to be actively involved with the rest of my life, not some pathetic person sat on the sidelines watching it float by.

Anxiety truly horrible and what kept me for far to long in that vicious cycle 😐
You know it will hopefully soon pass and each time it comes back (when you battle through) those times will be less and less.
Now am this far along myself I can honestly say my anxiety has decreased by easily 90%.
Keep busy if possible, doing something to keep brain and hands busy, its tough I know but good you're posting here, take care my friend, hope it settles very soon <:)>

Sorry you're having a tough day, Action. Lush is right about this passing and also about anxiety decreasing in the longer term the less alcohol you drink/the more AF time you have. If you drank yesterday, the anxiety could also be about the alcohol wearing off. Nasty stuff what it does to our bodies.

Take it easy on yourself this evening. Have some nice food. Keep your mind busy. Keep posting if it helps. Hugs <:)>

Action <:)>

Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit more settled.

It’s always hard to pinpoint the source of these anxious episodes, and often fruitless, as it’s usually general anxiety with no particular focus

It might help to keep some reminders on your phone or in a notebook, to help break the circular thinking that accompanies these episodes. Maybe something like this?

Anxiety is no picnic. There are a lot of things you can do to stave it off. Propranolol really helped me, it just cuts the adrenaline off at the pass. Breathing into a paper bag....I'll echo what others say, not drinking in the long term will reduce your anxiety dramatically.
Enough time wasted on this.

Hi Action,
I suffer terrible with anxiety attacks. They are terrifying. A couple of years ago, I started having a massage for a bad back, and the lady doing it, also suffered from anxiety, so she taught me a few breathing exercises for when they hit. And although, it’s not easy, they do work. You can google or you tube the same technique she showed me. <:)> the further I get away from my last drink the less I have, so keep up your sober days my lovely. <:)>

I am back to the beginning. Healing from my loss would surely be better.
I don't want to take my life. I don't want to continue this path.
You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending-

Wapati, are you ok?

I just happened on, what is wrong? Share it with me, ok, my US sistah!!!
There isn't enough alcohol in the world to make you happier, calmer, prettier, more clever or less angry.
Only sobriety will help you achieve these attributes.

Wapati, what happened?

If you come back on, PM me or just talk here! ok?

I have been having problems, too, that is why I came on, just to hook up with my friends on BE!

Maybe you can help me and I can help you! Times are bad in the country but I think a corner has been turned!

I will check in from time to time to see if you respond! <:)> <:)> <:)>

Wapat, it looks like you're not online at the moment, but I hope you come back. It's good that you've reached out, it's a starting point. <:)>
