Quality of Snow
Defined by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) as The amount of ice in a snow sample expressed as a percent of the weight of the sample.
I know this very well. It meant that I destroyed a shovel this weekend (using a cheap one to shovel heavy snow) - but it still is more-or less OK to shovel the (more than half metre) of fluffy light stuff that fell down/blew sideways onto my path this morning.
Practical applicatio of Boffin definitions. See - I am sort of paying attention
