Ah, Chirpy, that brought back memories. It was originally in German wasn't it? Or was it translated? I remember being at the Berlin Wall in November 1989 and people were playing this song and pulling people over the wall and hugging them and giving them "western" beer and chocolate. It was in fact completely coincidental, I was visiting my cousin (planned months ago) but as fate would have it, I accidentally got in on one of the biggest historical events of our time. It was absolutely awesomsie!
