Morning

Thank you Trina, Serend and others. Slightly (= very. I'm a wimp) uncomfortable. I'm not the first to have it done, and I won't be the last. Simply stopping drinking has cleared up a lot of the problems. I had to fill in a form. When it came to alcohol, I just wrote 'Too much', but then told everyone that I hadn't had a drink for three weeks.

And that is mostly down to all you good folk in here. I blame you entirely. Having joined you all to post that my personal goal for today, is to stay sober, I would feel terrible to slink in, tail between my legs, admitting I'd given in to temptation. So thank you all. (::) (::)

Day by day, building sober muscles and a healthier body (could wish it were lighter. That's the next step).

Serend glad you are happy in your job. That makes a big difference to your health.
Hi Trina.
Hoping for an AF day today. Grocery delivery yesterday with 4 guinnesses so a planned non AF day, but will be back on it today . So 3/1 so far this week.
Kath I hope you are coping. You re usually much more successful than I am. Any one day counts as a success.
Seismic, hectic time for you.

His blood pressure is high so trying to bring it down.
Not sure how long I’ll last - missing my wine tonight but need to do this for him as well as myself.
All the best to you all!

Morning

Well done SF. I can't do controlled drinking. If you can start and stop like that, that's quite a trick.

Diane: a new knee in the family. Really painful. He does need you to be available in the early days - even if it's just for help putting on those fetching white socks. Remind him to keep doing the exercises. And knees bend. But staying sober for a week has been brilliant. One day at a time.

Hi Serend. I'm hanging onto your coat tails.

The procedure went well. No bad results, so all worth doing. I've woken up sober for breakfast, so that's good. My goal today, is to keep my eyes on the ball and not let it drop. Just another AF day

Have a good weekend

Serend, ditched teaching in 2016. The new job started in August 2019. Went from a defence job, largely army products, to a naval defence company.

Korea trip was effectively,,,,, teaching! Albeit explaining our niche system with a translator.

Diane, hope the OH is okay.
DannyD, seems like you're doing okay?

Effectively did a 3 day week this week. Back out to SK next Friday. Will bring me up to 7 covid tests what with before getting there, being there and getting home with our company policies and SK procedure. Due out again in January too.

House move quiet this week but it's rolling on.

MASSIVE labyrinthitis bout at lunchtime. The room was spinning. Possibly last night excesses but I've had this rotten sensation before.

Woke up after another AF day. Friday night OH offered me a beer and I said yes. So this week so far 4/2 but just 10 units.
DannyD pleased everything went well for your procedure.
Hectic time Seismic. I ve had 2 covid tests because I m on the Novovax trial (fairly sure I was given the placebo) but I found the tests really unpleasant making me gag.
Serend , Diane pleased you are doing so well. Your poor husband. I ve heard knee replacement is very painful - worth it though.
Kath , hope all is well.

SF 10 units is great! Find it hard to moderate and track but also find the thought of never again a but difficult, SO will stick to a day at a time right now and not look forward!
Diane I missed your knee replacement post, hope your OH is recovering well and up and moving about. Not the easiest, wishing him a speedy recovery!
Seismic, now you mention it I think I knew that, time flies!!! Good to be doing something so interesting and getting to travel now

Danny , still going, hoping youre ready for Monday after an AF Sunday

Hey to Kath Trina and any other goalies out there, ready for the week ahead x

And it's Friday. RL is a bit different at the moment. Just until next week when I'll be home again, facing new challenges (back to work). And I've woken up sober. Head ache because I haven't drunk enough, but sober.
