Hi sober fun how things? How’s your hubby? I assume you’ve both had your vaccinations?

Danny thanks for letting me know. I don’t think I’m going to make it through lent. The will power isn’t there! I appreciate you telling me.

Spats sorry last time I was questioning how you were doing and I hadn’t seen your message above that saying you fell off during lock down. Lock down hasmade most people drink more I think. I also have lost a lot of confidence over the years. Good luck with sober lent! You can do it.

Well unfortunately I’m already thinking I’ll drink tonight and have bought wine. I’m totally rubbish I know! New goal once a week I absolutely want to stick to that so fingers crossed.
I jogged 5k today not done that in about a year so I’m pleased. Also did 10 k walk so quite a good day hence the reward thought.

Hi Kath. My husband has had Astra Zenica vaccine and I m on novavax trial so I don't know. They are planning on giving those that had placebo the vaccine and those that had vaccine a placebo. We won't find out if that is authorised until March 22nd .
Pleased to have AF day today but wasn't easy. I hope you are sleeping much better now. 5k jog and 10k walk is fantastic.
Also wish you well Dannyd Spats and Furry feet.

Got through my first week AF! First time for months. I’m not going to think ok I’ve got through week one, onto week 2 because all too often I didn’t get through the next week. Instead I’ll look at it as the start of a lifestyle and mindset change and work through it that way. I still have my notes dotted around everywhere, the most important one being on the dashboard in my car. Stay strong everyone ;)? ;)?

The best thing I did was to write those notes. Wherever I turn there’s a note telling me. It to drink and why. Got through week 2 and the temptation to eat sugary things isn’t quite so bad. On to week three. I’m finding that I’m able to concentrate more on what I need to do and working through the list of jobs I have, more energy although I’m still quite lazy first thing in the morning (w) Keep going friends - the more days off from alcohol the better. I just know that the day I drink I won’t stick to one bottle (w) and eventually I’ll be drinking more days of the week so I need to head for total abstinence.

Morning guys

Spats 2 weeks that’s great!!! Well in the zone now!

Sf good work on the low units!

Well I’ve been hiding because it seems any goal I set myself I fail. No matter what I tell you I’m going to do I still go ahead and drink my usual 3 times a week. The only good thing is it’s 6 units a time so an 18 unit week.
On a positive note I did 100,000 steps last week 45k, and last 2lb.
I get my vaccination on Friday.

Stick at it guys you’re doing great!!

Well done Kath. 18 units is really good. Also only drinking 3 nights. \:)/ I ended up drinking 23 units. I don't know how you manage 100 000 steps. I m on track for 55,000. Well done on 2lb loss. Are you following a plan?

Hay sf 55,000 is very good. I should be doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks this year, the one I was supposed to do last year, so I need to get fit!! Don’t think I’ll manage 100,000 this week. I’m on 85,000 so it depends how motivated I am tomorrow!
Yeah had vacation yesterday and no side effects so that’s good.
23 units is good sf I’m probably going to of drank 21 by the end of tonight.

All that exercise is great for your health. If you have signed up to 3 Yorkshire peaks you ll have great motivation to keep on going .

Hi not much to report here. Doing lots of wak/ jogging did 16k today. I managed to do 1k in 6 min but it about killed me! Trying to build up to achieve 5k in 30 mins but that’s a way off yet.

How’s things with you after. How are you doing with SW at the moment? It’s my birthday in 4 week I’d like to lose 4kb by then. I’m doing well with exercise but I’m not so good with food!

I m the same with food at the moment. At least I have had 3 AF days and 6 units so far this week

I’m 3/4 too l, but 20 units.
Also achieved 110,000 steps haha get me! 51 miles. Pretty please with myself and lost 1lb.

Another week of 3/4 20 units not brill not awful.
88 km done this week and 1lb lost.

Well done Kath.
I ve managed 50,000 steps but no AF days.
Received several bottles of wine for Mothers' Day.
Sometimes think about Seismic and Ruby.

Hello everyone :\: My goal is to cut drink out three nights Monday to Wednesday (note to self, that means including Wednesday!) I did two days last week so here goes as I head towards the witching hour. It sounds like there is a lot of positive stuff going on here, wishing every one well for today xx
