Speak for yourself, I’m not intelligent or grown up! However I am old. I think we can make changes if we really want to I just think the bottom line is we have to really want to or we just cave at the first struggle.
Well done on still being a sober hero! I can’t believe your chocolates lasted this long!!

Seismic that’s good news 12 weeks free! Hope it gives you the kick start you need. You are certainly making good progress with your drinking which will be a Mano help with your diet.

I’m still not getting into my diet or exercise. A lot aid talk but no action!

Sf what’s your goal this week? Mine was a 5/2 again but I’m already edging towards 3/4 in my head

Another dip on the scales this morning but daily weighing probably isn't healthy.
Got on the rower this evening, nearly cried off. Phone was also taking ages to connect to the row computer. Quite off putting, especially as it was a scant 4 degrees in the gym. Rowed harder because of it.

6 days. My last 7 day stint was in 2016. That looks bad writing it down.

SW group this evening. First time there. Sat next to former cycle club member and fellow triathlete. In the past she has done iron-man, double ironman (), swum the channel as part of a relay, pedalled around the county's fire stations as part of a charity ride, 200 miles if I remember correctly.
Obvs not doing much exercise currently.

So. Hit 8 days AF. Now comes weekend,,,,,

Not such a successful week this week. It will be a 3/4 after tonight. However did manage to stay af last nigh to keep it from being 4/3!
I’m getting very annoyed with myself on the diet and exercise front. I just can’t find the motivation. But I have to address it cause I have a stone to lose and I’d like to lose it in 7 weeks. Doable if I pull my fingers out.

Seismic have you had your first weigh in yet?

Sf where are you? Hope all is ok!

Ahh, Mark ;)?

That's 2lb a week Kath. Doable.

My group is Thursday evening. 19 10. I had 19 8 n 1/8th in the morning.
AF today but not yesterday. Weekend and,,,,, lawnmower irritation. Wouldn't start, not even sure it's priming.
January. Not sure why she wants it cut. Not really on my to do list.

Bought some 2nd hand paving slabs for a greenhouse base. Quite a lot of lifting, I'm classifying that as exercise.

After Saturdays lifting,,, Sunday car and bike wash. And mowing. Swapped carburettor, the new one has fallen apart inside.
No rowing. 15hours for Jan got scrubbed off last illness weekend. Patio moving and car wash is just as good.

They've started Sunday roller disco again. 4:15 to 7pm house to myself. Fire on, I have drunk beer n whisky. This ain't SW friendly. Not nuts or pork scratchings though.

PG AF rest of the week.

Well done Seismic on your 8 days AF.
Going to Slimming World will help.
Hi Kath, are you doing Slimming World?
No mojo last week . Managed a 2/5 last week. Hoping for a 4/3 as I had a drink yesterday at a funeral.

Hi everyone
No soberfun not on slimming world in fact I’m getting fatter each day! No control!

Oh this week has been horrible. My father in law has been taken to hospital. The day after he went in my son got covid so we haven’t been aloud to visit till tomorrow.
At first we thought he’d be out in a day or 2, that is the impression we got from the nurse when we rang up. But then we got a phone call from the doctor explaining it’s more serious and he now has sepsis and that we could lose him. Today they have told us we will lose him. All of this is very sad. To make things worse he is delusional and thinks we have just abandoned him there and that we don’t care and we are all out to get him. He said some very hurtful things. I really don’t want him feeling like this and I really don’t want my husbands last memories of his dad to be nasty ones.
Now they are trying to arrange for him to come home to pass away in his own home but we are scared of how we will cope looking after him when he thinks thing are crawling on him and other hallucinations as well as him hating us at the moment.
Feeling very stressed! Not drank tonight but god I wanted to!!

That s an awful situation Kath. Really feel for you. I didn't think they'd send him home when he is so confused. Look after yourself as much as you are able.
