Depressed, I effing hate psychiatrists and their entourage, they can say what the f**k they like and people believe it (My GP), I'd tell him to get to f**k if I didn't need a reference for my driving licence and PIP applications. Seeing him again on Tuesday, my mood is fluctuating between anger and depression, apparently I have alcohol abuse disorder (alcoholic) and a chaotic lifestyle, god knows what that means, I have several voluntary jobs and I'm studying Sociology.

Sounds awful Moira - infuriating to be labelled like that.

Hi Sally, the labels bad enough but I doubt I'll get the right treatment for my mania, I read 2 really bad reviews about this psychiatrist online, I'm waiting till I see him on Tue and I'm going to add my own.

I've got a really busy week and all I want to do is lie in bed.

Well I am happy this Mothers Day to be sober of course. I'm taking my 80 year old mother to visit her big sister. There was a time not so long ago that I would be hungover and doing this under protest. Today and thanks to my sobriety I can say with complete honesty that I am looking forward to it.

So .... I am happy and thankful to have all the wonderful women in my life.

I'm grateful for propranolol, feeling so much better after taking it.

Grateful for the sunshine and warm weather, just wish I'd spent more time outside today (and yesterday).

Grateful for a great day out on the barge with my artlink client, the weather was great and it was very relaxing. Hope I get this client again in the future, she's a real blether.

Stressed, writing an email to a Professor of Psychiatry to try and get a second opinion on my Bipolar.

Grateful for being busy all week - I’m not finding excuses to get out of the house every day and ending up doing mindless shopping  Meeting/talking with people all the time :)

I'm quite down in the mouth at the moment. May's a strange month - so beautiful, but also holds the death anniversaries of three of my immediate family, two by suicide. There's something painful about the contrast which in the first few years I found very hard to cope with (and drank copiously). This year it feels difficult again. And there;s all the job interviews I've had, which are tiring and depressing when I don't succeed! So, I know I'll get through it, but I am a bit depressed, and probably in reaction my ME's affecting me and I feel exhausted. I struggled a bit with last night's gratitude practice because of this, but grateful for glorious weather and my physical health.

Sally <:)> I get what you mean about your grief and the painful contrast with this beautiful month at present. It must feel so conflicting and sad, empty almost, even though we are experiencing such beautiful songbird sounds and glorious sunshine at present. I can only imagine that losing close family members through suicide must be an ongoing myriad of emotion. Also putting so much work and effort into your interviews and not getting the desired outcome must be so demoralising, and the ensuing exhaustion with your ME. I hope that you can get plenty of rest and commend yourself for the sheer effort you are making despite your difficulties with ME and PTSD. Take care Sally thinking of you to today <:)> xx

I am grateful today for having started some voluntary work at a young carers centre and am meeting some very inspiring people (all ages, disabilities, cultures and professions). It is a stark contrast to the isolating i was doing back in the winter and feels good to be connecting with people again and being useful :)

Thanks Cowboy <:)>

Hope my post to you was not too heavy Sally ? Took me ages trying to find the right words to empathise with you but maybe it came across wrong. I'm sorry if it did. The lack of acknowledgement kind of makes me feel hesitant, and lose confidence in responding when people discuss feeling down on the open forum... x
