My psychiatrist didn't phone me back today, not sure what to do, thinking of taking my mental health back to my gp and putting in a complaint about him. I've got a gp appointment in a couple of weeks will see what he thinks.

Ruby that sounds really neglectful. Please do try to speak to your gp if you can. I hope you are ok x

That is not helpful to you Ruby. Usually if a psychiatrist can't ring you directly for whatever reason they will at least ask their secretary to call you with a message from them. How are you getting on with your medication, have you managed to get some more from your GP to help you wean off ? Hope you are ok xx

Thanks for the concern guys, I really appreciate it. <:)> Got really upset this afternoon, when he didn't call again! To cut a long story short, I phoned the crisis team and she was really nice, said he'd get the bastard psychiatrist to bring forward my appointment to review my meds. We'll see tomorrow if he does it. Will try to get my advocate to come with me as well.

Thanks Martha, well my psychiatrist phoned today and said I was 'threatening him' when I pointed out that every time they reduce the olanzapine I take an overdose. I was feeling really paranoid last week and was getting manic the week before but that didn't happen in his mind, it was just anxiety. What he doesn't know he makes up, was sympathetic about my traumatic childhood, I didn't have a traumatic childhood, yes it was dysfuctional but who's isn't. He tried to pawn me off on another psychiatrist but I stated that that one lies and so do you. Lost the plot a bit when I said 'your head's so far up your own backside..'. :lol2:

Had a bad day all round, wanted to go to see a friend this evening but she said she had someone else coming round, another friend phoned to say someone (who I hate) was bad mouthing me, funny this woman tried to add me on facebook the other day and I refused. Been getting quite strong cravings but went for a walk with Jim (my ex partner) which chilled me out a bit (combined with the higher dose drugs). Quite worried about Jim, discovered some condoms in his bedside cabinet a few days ago, it's none of my business but if he does have/get a gf then our relationiship will need to change. ()o Least the off licence is closed now so I can relax. ;)?

Sorry for the rant, needed to get it off my chest.

Hey, it's ok to rant. No wonder after the day you've had today. I'm sorry it's been so difficult. The whole psychiatrist thing sounds so bloody frustrating. it's really important to have someone reliable to turn to when it comes to mental health, isn't it?
That's good your walk with J was helpful to chill out. Not so great about your discovery but maybe something to sort out another day.
Take care of yourself x

Thanks again Martha, my biggest worries are getting someone to sign for my driver's licence and PIP applications, thinking that a bad reference is worse than no reference (only one from my gp). Spoke to my advocate today, so she's gonna come with me next time I see him.

Thanks Sally, had a mega fail at the festival I went to on Saturday (posted on personal goals), I even smoked! (w) Feeling a bit better today, need to get myself back on track. Got a busy week ahead so not got much time to wallow. Hope you are doing well too. ;)?

Thanks spats and Sally, feeling much better today, back to my routine, and going for a walk with Jim tomorrow, craving the fags a bit but not alcohol. :D

I will Spats, got lots of lozenges! ;)? Got an email today from a psychiatrist through in Glasgow who specialises in Bipolar, he's happy to give me a second opinion provided my own psychiatrist (bastard) refers me. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

Had a lovely day walking in the sunshine with Jim and had a good blether with my sister.

Hope everyone else is feeling good. :\:
