If you're in to second world war bunkers it's a doozy ;)?

I was just checking out another battlefield site to go detecting, when the vegetation allows of course, so that's about Jan 2022 at the earliest

The bit I'm really interested in looks like this at the mo

Since I shredded my Achilles months ago Nic, marching to Timbuktu and back every week, which still isn't right, I bought myself a new bike, did 33k on it this morning, as far as weight I haven't been on the scales since my fitbit died, midsection definition has dwindled so I'm now officially skinny fat!

Mind you, I can't see me ligging on a beach this year so it's no big issue ;)
Hi Newt.

I did my Achilles its a nightmare injury as it takes ages to recover.

With me it was caused by overuse, to many hills and also using minimum/zero drop shoes.

Saw a physio who gave me some good advice and exercises to do.

Still flares up a little but learnt how to manage it and cut back.

Good luck. ;)?

My heart goes out to you, I've never known an injury take so long to recover (w)

I'm about four months into strapping it up, resting it up and it's still a bugger first thing in the morning, I'm doing calf raises as suggested by my physio bloke, can't do NSAI (Ibuprofen) due to a dicky colon.

I guess patience is a virtue

Mind you, swapping marching for biking has been fun :D

Hi Maria and Fresh :\: \:)/ Pretty much my only exercise at the moment is walking, mostly dog walking. I do up to 13 miles a day probably a couple of times a week, and other days are between 5 and 10 miles, depending on the weather. I've never re-started Couch to 5k and my local pool still isn't open due to Covid. It's swimming and aqua fit I miss the most. In terms of weight/diet, ideally I'd like to lose 3 stone from where I am. I'm just taking it slowly and not doing any particular plan. I don't count calories but I have an awareness and I aim to be in a deficit daily, or at least over the week.

Levelled off at 70kg for the past 4 months, that's a 30 jeans with a tight belt, cycling to work and back every day cos achilles is still being a pain in the arse, still regimental eating with a pizza or a bag of chips once or twice a month, samey samey

As in you have lost the ability to do this? ?

It happened to me once and it all boiled down to the keyboard language choice, I can't remember if I fixed it by changing to US or UK layout in windows settings, assuming of course that your keyboard isn't just intercoursed with age ;)

Lol re question mark Maria!

Hi Newts. That achilles has been a proper bugger hasn't it!

Hi Marth, I haven't re-started C25k either as every time I start I get pain in my big toe joint - probably because of my weight!

I am struggling to get back on track. Got a holiday booked next year and really need to do something about this now.
