Where is Sandy? I've said it already but I'll say it again!

CONGRATULATIONS SANDY!!!!! \:)/ \:)/ \:)/ \:)/ \:)/

Felt better today so obviously was just my missed medication. Struggling a bit at the moment to be honest, feeling low again and lost my appetite today as well, maybe an unconscious reaction to feeling out of control in other respects. Don't get me wrong, I haven't starved myself but I did forget about lunch. Have eaten the following:

Fruit and fibre with semi skimmed milk
2 Bourbons
Apple
2 choc hobnobs
Cheese and onion sandwich
Some mixed dried fruits

My Sister, her family and her 2 giant dogs descend tomorrow, going to be a long weekend I fear!

Dtink was my coping mechanism for everything, Tam. Even though things are still hard it easier to deal with the crap life throws you without. I still crave the oblivion from time to time.

I think guys no matter what we are ( drinkers or not) we All crave oblivion at tough times, but these tough times when all the s@@@ is hitting the fan will come and go many times in our life and we have to deal with them. Getting blitzed does nothing for the actual event......... Just makes us even sicker trying to deal with it really. It's just finding other coping mechanisms and Tam that is not always easy in those early days.

Good luck for Monday Wolfie \:)/

Are you honestly telling us that you've been away on holiday for what, 2 weeks, and in all that time you've only had 4 desserts?
I could never ever do that, I'm very impressed ;)? A pud a night it is for me on holiday

Great weight loss Martha (::) Do you think that maybe you're cold and tired cos you're hungry?
I know if I don't eat I always feel cold.

I walked 13893 steps yesterday! Unfortunately my left knee is really painful now, so I don't think I'll be doing that many today

MC, I hope your weekend with your sister and her dogs isn't too stressful <:)>

Happy Bank Holiday weekend everyone!

Morning all!

I am still in the lake district. Had a lovely time and rather proud I managed it af. \:)/

Was a bit upset yesterday as I'd been for a walk with OH then went into a lovely cafe that specialises in gluten free. I ordered a bakewell tart and custard. It was such a treat as I never get to eat those kinds of foods being Coeliac.

An old chap next to me stated very loudly to his wife, "The fattest people eat the fattest food. Look theres a cream tea over there and a pudding over there!" (nodding towards me)

I was really offended. It was on my mind most of the day yesterday. What a rude man. Earlier on that day I'd said to OH that I was feeling fat and it was knocking my confidence. Then that happened. Spoilt my day.

I know I'm being over sensitive to it, but my weight has been an issue all my life and what he said really hit a nerve.

Anyway, down to breakfast where there are sure to be some obviously hungover people! Sure to cheer me up! Mwahaha! :D

Definitely Nic, VM is spot on, please try and put it behind you <:)>
He's probably got chronic halitosis and/or stinky feet  He's certainly ignorant!

Not much to report here, still chugging along.
I'm off to France for a couple of weeks on Thursday so won't be around much. I'll still be walking every day though as Jess is coming with us again \:)/
But I won't make any promises about my diet ;)

Lol thanks Michelle. No need to creep around shamefaced dafty! <:)>

I'm so tired. Can't get through the day without a sleep in or afternoon nap. I don't remember feeling this tired last time I was af.

Hoping it passes as I am getting nothing done and have zero motivation for anything never mind any exercise. :?

Shell, I am sorry I wasn't around with a big shoulder for you but we all have to do as needs must. OK. a bit of a slip but you are really doing well. It does not usually work out first few times through. It takes persistence. You have that and so do you Fresh Tart.

Come on girls. I have been there through a good AF and then crappy slippy uppy. You get it back together by parking the slip in the past and moving on. Yes, we naturally feel sh&t but so what? Stare it down and go for it. This might seem odd but the main reason I won't drink tomorrow? I cannot be arsed. Took a while but can be for you too.

I am of your mentality at the minute, drinking? Can't be arsed. It won't last but thats how it is right now.

Hi all,
Winker, i just bought a pair of trainers. Terrain running shoes. I am disappointed because they make my feet clammy, even though they say they have goretex inside. They are great otherwise, really supportive. So my advice is to check breathability.

I've just taken a good honest stock of my body. I am about a stone heavier than i used to be, somehow cellulite has appeared all over my butt and thighs, how did that happen without me noticing..., I am unfit, I cant do many proper pushups at all, and kneeling one are bad enough. My OH hung me from the top bar of some swings last time he was here and told me to pull myself up. I could barely hang there, never mind raise my body. I can barely do squats on one leg, which probably explains why I'm so stiff skiing. I have to lock my legs instead of flexing on alternate legs.

I used to be really fit. Then i had kids, and then i immersed myself in depression and booze. That's it then.

I'm now on a mission to get fit again. I dont really care what the scales say, but i want a body that does what I ask it to.
So. Squats, pushups, situps, here I come! I hate this type of excercising, solitary and gym type, but combined with dogwalking (up and downhill), it should help.
Anyone else training at home, or do you all go to a gym? I have no gym nearby, so it's home trim or nothing.
Cheers, faith xxxx

Ha ha, winker. I'm 48 and raging against my declining body. Most people where i live are very fit. We had visitors from UK a couple weeks ago and they said our evening walks would count as a monroe trip over there...
My OH is the same age, but he is fit and strong as the proverbial ox. He is wiry without an ounce of fat - he can jump up, grab a bar, pull himself up, then do a graceful arm lift, then turn his whole body round the bar, slowly and holding himself up, if you see what I mean.
I always think he should have been in the special forces or something.
But yes - poking fingers at his boot-camp approach to home life would be a good thing sometimes.. I'm permanently scared of dropping or spilling stuff, he detests my clumsiness, then he overreacts, and starts getting the mop and detergent out immediately, claiming that I've dragged whatever it is ALL over the ENTIRE house, and starts saying things like, ok i understand you want to live in a pig sty, but I don't. I get so nervous, I spill things even more...
So I thought, if I was fitter, maybe i wouldnt be so clumsy.
But thanks, I will try to be kind to myself and start gently.
My knees make noises too
