Morning all

I've lost 2.4lbs this week. Taking me to 12lbs lost in 6 weeks since being sugar free. Quite pleased. I've dropped into the next stone bracket too which always looks better on the scales!

Sue, 21.5k steps is a lot! That's brilliant. Fab walking weather. Very tricky sticking to plan when out of routine. You sound like you are having a fab time though.

I’m starting again tomorrow. Quit smoking and drinking and hopefully, as I won’t be having all the other things that go with it' the weight will start to go down ()o

So, two weeks later and it's 17 on the button. Diet wise I eat pretty good breakfast lunch and dinner, but then go overboard when I do drink and then eat crap as well. I keep scoring negative on WW, not just by a bit but often well over 100 in debit.

I can only attribute the maintain down to upping the exercise. 5 mile run Wednesday, 4.5 on Friday and 3.5 this morning (on the way to the weigh in)

Good work freshie, it's always nice seeing that next stone number, kind of why I'm irked at 17 dead again.

Amazing, Fresh! I was sugar free for a lot of the summer and felt so well on it. I lapsed into bad habits again and now feel gross   :x Sugar free again since the beginning of this week, so I hope I see results similar to yours :D
Rebounding/trampoline for me today, and maybe some walking. My Fitbit is showing a good deficit of over 1000 every day this week, but I'm not losing as yet  :x

Well done for getting back on it Spats!

Seismic thanks. Maybe the gain is extra water in the muscles from the exercise? It will pay off in the end though.

Marth thanks. Keep going like that and the weight will drop off. I feel well on the sugar free too.

Barbecue for us today. 8-) 8-)

Amazing fresh! Well done lovely! \:)/

I am eating all of the chocolate, all of the pizza and have gained a pound and skipped the gym.

Bah. Not a happy bunny with myself. It’s reminding me of the last few years before jumping off the booze train. Good intentions. Relapse. Binge. Effects. Depression. Try again. Good intentions. Paving the road to hell.

Perhaps liposuction. 🤔

Apparently after liposuction, because the fat cells have been removed, if you gain weight again it will need to be in another area that contains any fat cells........I’m picturing a thin belly and rolls of fat on my back. Nice

So I’ve been rationalising this weight loss thing again and I know exactly where you’re coming from SG- I do the same thing
myself and sabotage recent efforts and I’ve been doing that long term. I think it’s really common for us overweight people to diet, lose short term and put back more over time isn’t it?

I mean I have actually accepted for a long time that ‘dieting makes you fat’

I also know if I ‘let go’ I won’t just stop at one, it becomes a binge. VERY like how I am with alcohol

So, in the meantime, while I’m hedging my bets and half sticking to SW ;) ,I’m also hoping that the claims for meditation will help me out as time goes on

Apparently by practising becoming aware of your thoughts and the spaces between and practising slowing it down by concentrating on your breathing or what’s going on around you instead (which is all meditation is), you start to become aware of the behaviours, thoughts, people and attitudes going on around you and start to be able to be more selective - more mindful in essence of what you do, what you think and the people you spend time with. Due to the new neural pathways you’re creating by meditating daily.

Blimey, I’m boring myself. Anyway, what I’m saying is mediation will help us be slim lol. I hope :?

 ok not liposuction then. Thanks. <:)>

Ach, I’m just annoyed. I’ve never been fat. I’ve been dissatisfied with my body, yes, but generally I’ve been a size 8-10 all my life. I have ballooned in the past few years and am now nearer to morbidly obese rather than overweight. I can feel it’s effects on my joints when walking and it makes me sigh when the rolls of flab on my front get in the way when bending down to put my shoes on.

And yet, it’s not enough yet to make me change my behaviour. Or rather, for behaviour change to stick. At least I have no need of central heating, fat people really do sweat at the slightest exertion!

Hope yr meditation was good. Ohm...

I haven't got much to report really, apart from the odd dump I've been roughly the same weight since May
