Thanks shadowlad, I might try that too, got the first defence and it seems to be helping and the vit c is quite refreshing. At my sister's now, she's still at work, trying to get motivated to make a trifle when all I want to do is sleep. (w)

So much gratitude today for my sobriety, which made for a stress free and happy Christmas interacting peacefully with loved ones. I am grateful that the changes I have made in my life have led me to a place where I could have such a nice day.

Hasn’t always been the case at Christmas, and sending my best wishes to those who didn’t have such a good time. The silly season will pass and ‘normality’ will return.

Love to all, <:)>

That was good to read SG ;)? Glad you had a nice day.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas Day. There can be such a lot of pressure to enjoy it (no matter what) and it can just get too much for some.

Thanks topcat. Yes, it’s only a day but the hype is ridiculous. I sort of bowed out this year, no actually, I chose my own path which didn’t involve people pleasing, so was able to have minimal stress beforehand and a relaxed day. Other people’s expectations though, shudder.

Lucky chap, if your house was anything like mine keeping a full tummy shouldn’t have been difficult! It can be hard to be the sober one when everyone else is hard at it, so a huge well done to you for managing. No hangover today is your well deserved reward! ;)?

Grateful today for my dishwasher! :D

Very happy to be home. Had a really good night's sleep last night. (Tonight may be different as I also had a deliciously long nap this afternoon :)
Also excited to book flights for a long weekend in Berlin in April. Just need to find a way to sort out Basil and his meds by then...

I'm not grateful for my female cat at present who leaves nice little squirts of poo for me to clean up

Anyway, happy i ordered some quality Hills food for ageing cats that might help her tummy.

Sad, the sodding price of it !

Sounds awful shadowlad, hope the hills sorts her out. <:)> I found the hills wasn't too expensive if you buy it in bulk.

Thanks Ruby, yes it does work out better value buying in bulk. All 3 cats are going on it so its the best way to buy xx

Lily makes terrible smells. I hope she doesn't go that way.

Not pleased with self for doing so little today, but very happy that while doing the little (tidying) I did do, I found my iPod (not seen since July) Kindle (not used for several years, but still glad to find) and external hard drive. Not sure if it's the one I lost recently. I think not. It seems to be a good one though.
I hate losing things. It's symptomatic of my shamefully chaotic, over-stuffed house, and of my increasing, aged-related (I imagine/hope) inability to remember where I've put things (although usually only when I have put them somewhere off while under stress. Unfortunately I have a lot of short-lived but intensely stressful episodes these days.)
I love finding things. :D
