That's the thing - people mean well, but they don't always "get it".

Ruby, please take good care and try to stay connected with people <:)>

Sick of being told how I feel.
Hi Ruby, some solid words of support from our good friends. Just want to say the same in please stay connected, at least here, until you get the MH support you need. When you are very down and discouraged just reading a kind and heartfelt word can make you feel less alone in your worries. Keep talking, any way you can <:)> xx

Love Nicky xx

Sorry to worry you, spoke to the mental health center I used to go to, going to make an emergency appointment with my GP tomorrow. Won't get to see my own doctor don't know what they can do. I've got Jim's Christmas here, a nice malt whisky, not going to touch it though.

Thanks for replying, may phone Samaritans later.

I've been discharged from the mental health services, not that I want to see those bastards again, last year when I was in intensive care, my psychiatrist told me I had to take personal responsibility for it, the crisis team said I smelt of alcohol even though I hadn't drunk for 5 weeks, hate the lot of them.

Ruby, I’m sorry that you feel let down by MH services. It’s a good plan to contact the Samaritans for support, and then follow up tomorrow through your GP practice. Maybe they can refer you to a different service, or the Samaritans may have some suggestions. I hope you can get some rest tonight <:)>

Totally understand Ruby <:)> Its horrible when your difficulties are undermined or dismissed by those who are supposed to provide professional help. They are not all the same though, and i pray that some good support comes your way. It often comes from our peers, and not always services xx

Been so busy today, hardly been home in and out all day. Dashed out for mtg of Alzheimer’s research UK fundraising group, back in 10.30 and came to bed half hour ago to find voice message. Very dear friend, known him over 40 years passed away today. He was in care home in Bournemouth, had dementia. Hadn’t seen him for couple of years and went to see him about a month ago. I’m so glad I got to see him then. Very very sad tonight. Client I used to work with also passed away recently. He too had Alzheimer’s, very advanced and in care home 😢😢😢

Ruby, I hope the GP can help, and/or that talking to the Samaritans is useful. Good on you for resisting Jim's Christmas present ;)? <:)>

Just seen that, Ruby. I'm afraid I don't know the answer (I'm a non-driver), but I hope it turns out well for you and that you don't get too stressed by it ;)? <:)>
