Dreamt it was my job to sweep the very filthy stage during the interval. But for some reason I climbed a steeple and the ladder (and me) fell backwards. I sort of resigned myself to death - at the very least a painful landing, but landed on an unknown (friend of my daughter's) man. Got up, walked away and picked up the brush to sweep the streets (streets? What happened to the stage?) unknown man asked me to try out some cycle horns to find the loudest. I couldn't make them work, so stopped after the first one.

I suspect this is full of sexual meaning(!), but it was quite fun.

Thanks Winker. It was so disjointed I never thought it might have any sort of meaning! Certainly, the one horn - I remember I had to be shown how it worked - I DID have a husband. He left - ostensibly because of my drinking. I think back now, and wonder at the irresponsibility of that.. I'm so consistently drunk that he no longer wants to live with me, but it's alright to walk away and leave me with two small children. Poor girls - grew up despite my best efforts.

Another weird dream. I wrote it down as soon as I woke up, otherwise I would have forgotten it by now. And it wasn't such a feel- happy dream. I think it's tied in with work, but I've a couple of days off now, so the dreams should cease.

And yes. Firstly I woke remembering them. Secondly, what did I forget? Thirdly, do I dream in colour, or are they shades of grey/brown? Do the colours get brighter if they're 'happy' dreams?

Do dreams actually mean anything? I'm going back to Exodus and dreams of seven fat cows and seven thin cows probably. Was that important because the dreams came true - thus proving that all dreams come true....

I have similar problems and my son has inherited them. I do find that sleeping with a fan does help, it helps him too. I definitely have linked it to body temperature. I actually find sleeping with a T-Shirt on is better than sleeping naked as I dont wrap myself up in the quilt so much.

I do the lucid dream thing too. Ive actually taught myself how. It stops my dreams waking me up and/or becoming night terrors.

that dosnt make much sense.....what I mean is I have very real dreams that can continue after im awake. Ive learnt to control them so they dont do that any more....well only if Im running a temperature.

Lima, I couldn't possibly sleep with a fan on :) I love being wrapped up warm. Even if I have a night sweat I don't really like having to take the duvet off to dry off. We're all different hey?
Yeah, my wife wraps herself up. Ive taken to wearing shorts and tshirts designed for night wear, the biggest size you can get for the t-shirt so its nice and loose. That way I can sleep without much of the quilt at all....I do often wake up in the morning wrapped up in it though !!

Everything okay, Pickles?

I had a weird dream recently. I dreamt that I was being jeered at and laughed at repeatedly by my sisters-in-law. And they told me it was because they had seen me picking my nose.

I wonder what was important in your dream, the fact it was a wine merchant, or that you were arranging the bottles ('stuff'?). I get the impression from your last few posts, that life is all on the up for your little family. I wonder if everything is being sorted in your mind?

Just woken up from a dream I wasn't enjoying. Our whole work company had abandoned work to go to the local guildhall to sing in one of those choir programmes. I'd been one of the last to leave and been concerned about leaving work unlocked. When we arrived, just as I got out of the 'van' I realised I was topless(?), so found a scruffy jersey in some bags going to a charity shop. By this time, everyone had gone in, and I couldn't see anyone. I made my way to the stage door - where there was no stage doorman, so rambled up and down endlessly getting more and more lost. I could see from the fly floor that everyone was actually sitting in the auditorium, but couldn't work out how to get there.

I think it means that I don't feel part of the work group, that I feel excluded? Not nice.

It's funny. 2days ago I was at work feeling very efficient and knowing what I was doing. Last night I had a very different work shift and DID feel very out of things - exposed, out of my comfort zone of knowing what to do.

Travelling in the van was really not comfortable. At one point I was worried that we had no driver. It was a busy street, leading to the guildhall, we were in the back and had no driver. My colleague said confidentially we'll get there. You drive (how? From the back? And There were crowds of people everywhere). If it's a metaphor for my journey through life, it's not very comfortable at the moment.

In the afternoon I was tea lady/meet and greet new comers to a small select group of this social club I have joined. I'm only quite new myself. The committee are all old hands - and there were the newbies. I was neither one group or the other.

Thanks Sunny and Winker

Just woken from a drinking dream. I was driving. The roads were crowded with people, some of whom thought it would be clever to lie down on the road. My brakes didn't work and I felt the bump as I drove over them. Almost in a state of shock, but I AM awake and it was only a dream.
