My dream last night was very strange here goes...
My husband and I had decided to commit suicide by way of carbon monoxide poisoning , we were going to get it pumped into this underground cellar type room ( we indeed have this in our house setup) and to that end we made the bed up and turned the lights low it looked creepy but somehow cosy? all the kids were aware of our plans and were fine with it!
Anyway there we lay trying to wait for the" long sleep" my husband started snoring and then he stopped!!!
I was wide awake and obviously not dead so I tried to get up but I couldn't move , he had wrapped his arms around me in his sleep and now Riga mortis had set in !!!
It was truly terrifying, I called out to my daughter and she helped me get free , not easy.
Then I just went in kitchen had a fag (gave up 4 years ago) made a cuppa , end of dream , tbh it was very strange and unsettling .

I'm also slightly concerned about smoking after all that gas. At least you woke up before the house exploded.

That sounds like a proper nightmare to me Kim :? I hate dreams where you can't escape and someone has a tight hold of you. Funny the way you told it but bet you was glad to wake up ! xx

I forgot about this, from last time, yes I have a lot of dreams I'm drinking again. Usually I will be at an unusual place and find some in someone's fridge and just take it. Then I wake up scared it really happened.

Not nice, Chai. When I have them (not often, but in the first few months it was nearly every night) I dream that I have actually been drinking on and off, moderately, for ages, and it's been ok :o Good, or helpful at least, to know what's skulking n in my subconscious, I guess! I am certainly not planning on drinking, but I suppose most of us have that lingering doubt that it's true that we really can't ever drink again. I am trying my best to squish it. Or say 'so what?' to it.

When I first stopped, I used to get very vivid dreams. I decided to embrace them, and treat it like going to the cinema without knowing what the film was going to be :D.

I am grateful if I dream now, as I find sleeping very difficult (a symptom/side effect of liver damage, unfortunately).

I know I had a lot again last night and this morning but I don't remember what happened in them, except in one I was trying to mend a relationship and got pretty harshly and publicly rejected. Actually I've always thought that way about dreams, free movies, but when when I go through periods of more stress I'll have more bad dreams than good ones.

Horrible dreams. In one completely obvious meaning one, I was trying to soothe this child who was out of control, and had him on my lap trying to calm him down.
In another I'd woken up, with not much of a 4 litre wine cask left and was into the rest already, and was concluding that antabuse doesn't work after all. Ugh

I dreamed someone ate almost all of my cheese then wanted to eat the rest, and I was really annoyed.
But don't worry, the cheese is fine, I checked

Drink dream last night. Been quite a while since i had one of those. This was particularly troublesome because it was all focused on the secrecy aspect. I was hiding bottles all over the house (which were then being discovered and held aloft like trophies by family). That was what woke me - the shame I felt as my stash was revealed (and then I immediately tried hiding them again) So glad it was just a dream. Never want that again.

Morning TC, these dreams so very real aren't they ?
