Walking has improved the last few weeks . Today I’ve done nearly 6 miles walking , not all with the dogs . It took a while to get going again after my operation but determination has helped , plus some homemade food .
Wow Pickles well done ! xx

How are you getting on with walks , TC ? Hope the recovery from surgery is getting better , slowly but surely
Had another high km yesterday , mostly around town . Parking is really difficult at the moment because of everything dug up in the centre . Nice walking round the city and having a cappuccino too .
How are you getting on , Nicky ?
' Normal ' is just a setting on the washing machine .
Hello lovely ladies , i hope you are both ok TC and Pickles
Its not great walking or running weather at the moment but i'm on a health kick and power walking around the perimeter or the local park every day, come rain or shine
The reason is that i need to get a stone or two off lol
Everywhere looks lovely and smells lovely this time of year so it is quite invigorating and...er...knackering lol xx
Anyway take care, lots of love

Well done you - that's the spirit Nicky. I'll encourage you from the comfort of my lounge - go girl
I have had a walk this morning. Got drenched and squelched my way into the surgery for routine tests + flu jab. That's my lot for the day.

I have taken up walking every morning. A brisk 30 minute walk along a country road. I love the feeling of being outdoors in all of the elements. It's quite beautiful this time of year in my neck of woods with the trees changing colour. Last winter I was sober and got out my old snowshoes and reintroduced myself to snowshoeing. I had forgotten how much I like being out on a snowy day when the woods are so quiet and peaceful. I can't really run that much anymore. I played a lot of different sports in my day and my knees are not good with impact. Anyways, I think I'll be checking in here if that's OK and sharing sober stories and photos. Have a great AF day.

Had a great hike along the Bruce Trail here in my neck of the woods. There was quite the hill and it took me a while to make my way. Really good cardio thats for sure. Felt good to be at the top and look out over the valley and catch my breath.

That's such a great feeling isn't CB? Never tire of it
Been doing some hill walking again myself lately. Taking it gently still, but making good progress.

Had a great hike yesterday in my neck of the woods - literally. It was so peaceful and quiet in the woods. I took my time for this hike and didn't have my music going on. Usually, my walk is kind of intense and I have the tunes going and walk at a good clip along the country road that I live close to. This time I took my time, walked a little bit longer and truly took in the sights and sounds. It was an enjoyable 2 hours in the woods. I highly recommend - very therapeutic. Have a great day runners and walkers.

Sounds lovely and peaceful CB. Don't know about you, but I sometimes feel a bit annoyed when someone else enters what I consider to be my own personal walking space I so enjoy the peace/solitude sometimes when I can just be alone with my thoughts.
Had such a walk yesterday in the local hills. The sun even made a welcome appearance

How are you feeling, TC? Went out for a long walk this afternoon. All muddy . Go off to wash, after washing dogs and discover that HD has managed to find some dental chew sticks that are much bigger than her .

Hello there TC, Pickles, Cowboy, Wilson and all walkers and runners
I tried some power walking a while ago but it set my foot off with plantar fasciitis well the power walking had to stop but was able to use my bike while the foot recovered
Today i went for a nice slow walk around the nature reserve and bridal paths. It has been sunny and mild and it felt very good, despite the embarrassing limp lol.

Sounds nice. I got out for a short walk eventually (had to wait around for a landline phone call first).
