When the dog died,
And the wife left,
And it drove me mad,
I simply remember my favourite things,
And go out and do,
Something bad.

Marigolds hey ;)

Morning all

Any joggers around?

Need some advice. I've completed the Couch 2 5k. I only go slow. Just got my speed up to 3.9 miles per hour. So very slow compared to most I think.

Anyway, the last week as I have started to walk my big toe joint starts to hurt. It doesn't only happen on the treadmill, also outside when walking.

I jog every other day. I skipped a session a couple of days ago to give it a rest. Been back on this morning and it started to hurt straight away. It's not agonising so I could carry on but now I've finished its hurting when I walk.

Any advice? Hope I don't need to stop as I'm trying to lose weight and I don't want anything to scupper my plans!

I still have quite a lot of weight to lose and wondering if its been too much pressure on the joint?

Sorry Freshie, I don't have any answers for you, but didn't want to leave your post unanswered. If there are no obvious injuries or signs of damage to the toe, it might be best to get it checked out. Afraid that's all I can offer <:)>

Taking that you are the sporty type it's probably a sprain, I did my hamstring in remember on a sickener  The fact that you can work through it is a good sign but if you would prefer it to be gone then time and rest is all that's needed, if it doesn't sort itself out go to the vets but if you still want to be doing something try taking a 500mg paracetamol and doing a slightly longer walk instead of jogging for a while and see how you get on ;)?

Thanks TC and Newts! ;)?

I am going to try resting it for a few days, see if that works. It's happened before when I started building up my time doing the plank - had to stop the plank because of it.
